I agree. This is the best debate fox has done. They had good questions and maintained control.
In the beginning Cruz put down Trump. Trump got booed many times.
For a while they only criticized Obama instead of debating each other.
Trump lost. Cruz, Rubio and Christy held their own. Carson, who I respect for his medical career, doesn't have a chance.

Now they are going at each other on policy and votes. That is debating. Of course Trump is silent because he has no policy or votes.

Yes, Cruz and Trump went after each other, but they had no choice. The questions were asked by the moderators Cruz and Rubio have really been battling. I think Cruz might have got the best of him, just not sure. I disagree that Trump lost. He was sort of where he has always been in the debates on major issues, but that kept the flow going. There were fewer interruptions by candidates who were not asked the specific question asked. I am not sure if Rubio even knew what the vat tax is, unless I do not know what it is. He kept saying it was a tax on businesses and also a government tax for each employee working for the employer 16% for each I always thought it was a value added tax for anything produce. EXAMPLE A $20,000 vehicle would tack on a value added tax on the cost to the consumer and it would be hidden in the retail price. Carson is lost up there.

Dr Carson's comments were great but he's a nice guy and not presidential. Cruz was wrong bringing up the movie on Bengazi based on unknown facts and funding ( ) On the sailors captured, Trump doesn't realized they wandered into Iranian space and had no choice but to comply to capture orders. We would do the same thing. And he said the only reason we got them back was because of a stupid deal. He doesn't understand the daily changing job of diplomacy.

Agree- best debate so far and the closest they came to actually answering policy questions. Trump booed more than once- he deserved it. Almost all of them went after Obama and Hilary linking them together, Rubio was obviously coached to be much more angry and direct, Cruz was well prepared for his retorts, and Trump was not a complete dick for once- except for with Jeborah on Boeing. Carson- done- but at least civil on the Bill Clinton response. I agree 1000% that going after Obama on the Iranians capturing our sailors and the pictures is completely wrong- call the Iran deal what you want but it is not some hand over of 150 billion or whatever, and not the reason this ended peacefully and quickly. What was not asked is what these tough talking Commander in Chief wannabes would do in the same situation- and we know exactly what they would do if they had any brains- take the advice of the military and not start another war over it.

I have to agree on all points other than Trump deserving it. We know the candidates are allowed a certain number of supporters in there. Naturally Cruz and Rubio's people were not going to sit on their hands. Remember Rand Paul's people in past debates?

MSNBC is about to interview Trump live, right now in Iowa. Hillary will also be on soon. Too bad they are not there together. We could settle this thing 10 months early.

He got it because of the 'birther' attack on Cruz. Funny they didn't have any problem with the birther attack on Obama though- and where is Orley Taitz on this? This is a solid argument since he was not born here- a father from Cuba and a US mother that gave birth in Canada- much more meat in that argument than the Obama angle that relied on NOT being born here- which was plainly false.

Fact Checker of Republican Debate Hospitalized for ExhaustionCHARLESTON (The Borowitz Report)—A fact checker who has vetted all of the 2016 Republican Presidential debates was hospitalized for exhaustion during the sixth G.O.P. forum in Charleston on Thursday evening. Martin Slessky, a former journalist who works for HonestyWatch, a Minnesota-based fact-checking organization, was resting comfortably after suffering what his doctors called a “total physical and mental collapse” during Thursday’s debate. Harland Dorrinson, the executive director of HonestyWatch, said he first became concerned about Slessky’s health when the fact checker started having heart palpitations and shortness of breath every time Texas senator Ted Cruz spoke. “I turned to Martin and said, ‘Are you all right? Are you going to be able to make it through this?’ ” Dorrinson said. “And he said, ‘I’ll be fine. Ben Carson is starting to talk now, that’ll be soothing.’ ” But moments later, when New Jersey governor Chris Christie falsely claimed that he never supported the nomination of Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor, Slessky experienced acute dizziness and blurry vision, and was immediately rushed to the hospital. Trump is just getting warmed up. Every time I think he has gone to far he finds a way to show the ass he is. He's feeding on the people following his antics. I expect the real GOP will show up at the poles. Entertainer yes, president no.

I believe Jon Stewart will regret his retirement for the rest of his life. Such a pity! Scenes ripe with material that doesn't even need worked over or interpreted. Just needs repeated!
