March Update : 20 NSDs and 8 CSDs
Did quite a bit of shopping early in the week as I purchased several items that I needed/wanted before the sales tax hike went into effect. None of the items were expensive but a 1% sale tax saving is still 1% in my pocket.
April Update: 2 NSDs Have no idea what today will bring. The 7 inches of rain on Friday dampened any ideas of shopping or even leaving the house. Yesterday I had no desire to leave the house so I am starting April without spending.
Back to work tomorrow. So the crazy schedule will begin again. I can't believe that we only have two more months of school left. Need to start planning the end of semester projects/study sheets/exams, etc.

April Update: 7 NSDS and 2 CSDs
My routine has been the same -- to school and back home. Seems that my big spend days are when I have several days off. Weekends are usually busy getting things done that I couldn't/didn't get done during the week. Been keeping busy and getting some things done.

I got my new laptop last week and am slowly learning how to use it. Upgrading eight years of technology is taking a bit of time an effort. My computer guru got back from his conference last week and took away my CPU tower last week muttering something about possibly being able to save my computer as well as recovering my photos and document.
I have begun to get my garden activities and supplies ready for planting. It has been so warm this spring I'm really not sure when to start.

Have no idea as to my numbers -- have spent on a few days but most of the days have been no spend ones. Too busy with school and life to spend. Hope all are doing well.

I know that I have had more NSDs and CSDs then spend days last month but no idea as to numbers. Only replaced a few clothing items and other spending was for upcoming items. This is the last month of school and as it is a busy month I am not sure how often I will be on the thread. Spend all weekend correcting students'project.

May Update: 6 NSDs and 1 CSD Only a few more weeks of school. Things are winding down quickly and I'm been quite busy. Most days I don't get home until much later than before as I have been doing tutoring, exercise and other activities. I think that the next few weeks will be pretty much the same. Will check in when I can,

May Update: 22 NSDs and 7CSDs My spending will increase the next few weeks as I am out of school and there is a long list of items on my list to purchase. I definitely have to revamp the wardrobe a bit before school starts again as several of my go-to items are beginning to show the wear. Looking for good sales and quality items. It will be hard to fine the latter as so many items seem to be made with sub-standard materials.

Projected spending for the month of June:
Expenses: $970.16 Car repair: $200 to $400. (fuel filter, new fuel line which is rusted and new vacuum hoses which are dry rotted.) Groceries: $250.00 Cat things: $25.00 Lunch with the girls: $25.00
I hope that's all I spend. Since my car isn't working right, I'll be buying things where I work which are more expensive until I get the car back.

Hi, all. The past two months have been total chaos. My mind hasn't been focused on my finances where it should have been. Everything started just before Easter with my nephews wedding and my computer's untimely death. I thought I was getting my act together then my BFF required surgery which grabbed my attention for about three weeks. Everything is good now, just dealing with a couple of months of physical therapy and being her driver-on-call. My (small) garden is in, now just to keep it watered. Tomorrow the plumber is coming to check out my water heater, my tepid showers are getting shorter and shorter. I have decided to replace the water heater with a tankless water heater. Then my mattress needs to be replaced and a TV will need to be replaced. I hope the TV will wait for the Christmas sales.
Pat has inspired me to get back on the wagon and monitor my regular spending better. With all of these expenses facing me I need to find some places for some more spending. I have money for these expenses in my various EFs but I hate the idea of using them and then refilling them. Although the new water heater ...might save 30-70% on my bill, I hope so.
3cats you do such a good job of monitoring your no spend days. I need to follow your example. I also need to follow moneysquirrel's example and do more decluttering. I have too much "stuff".
This is close enough to the first I need to reconstruct the first few days and get with it for June!
It is so hard to learn this computer.

June update: 2 NSD, 3 CSD.
The CSD are going to be high this month until I get the car fixed. I hate blocking a busy intersection because it died and I have trouble getting it started.

June update: 4 NSD, 4 CSD.
It's half and half so far. I don't think I need anything tomorrow but we'll see. I have to check on cat food.

June update: 4 NSD, 5 CSD.
Today is going to be a CSD because I need to get groceries after work tonight.
On a brighter note, I paid off two expenses and have a credit on the one. I got a new cat and that credit will be gone in a vet visit.

June Update: 6 NSDs and 2 CSDs On the whole not too bad so far. That will be changing as I have some traveling to do in the next few weeks. I had a major unexpected car expense this week. Went in for regular maintenance and came out with a much higher bill than anticipated as several small things had to be replaced. The labor charges were quite more than I expected. Thank goodness for the car EF. Took a chunk out of it and pushed the new car savings back a bit. Other than that just the usual items for living with that postponed lunch with my friend.

Today will be a CSD as I am going to get groceries and do laundry. I am getting my car fixed, hopefully, next Wednesday. Then my NSD days will start adding up again.

The last week have consisted mainly of spend days as I was at a craft retreat. Had the money saved for this and pretty much watched my purchases. Good times and people.

expensive spend day: bought a new to me car. Mine just wasn't running. Every time I stopped at a stop sign, it would shut off. Got to the point that I would coast through the signs but the police didn't like that idea. They stopped me. We talked. They left me off with a warning to STOP at the signs. While we were talking, my car shut off. I had a hard time getting it started when I heard one of them yell "put the peddle to the metal and gun it." I yelled back I have it to the floor and they both laughed.

Lost track of last month. I bought a new to me car so my NSD should be higher than they started out last month. I don't have to bring stuff home from work every night.
So far this month: 1 NSD, 1 CSD.
Bills are all paid except electric and I do need/want to get an AC because mine quit. It is to be in the high 80 and 90 the rest of the month and I can't take the heat. It makes me sick

June was a spend month for me. But I had the money saved for it. Had both a craft retreat and a cruise. Now back to reality. 3cats -- the car was a need. You have kept the old ones for many years on a shoestring and a prayer. If you can get the ac please do, the heat is not good for our health. I try to stay in during the late afternoon as the heat index for us is in the 100s.

I ended the month of June with $1000 dollars leftover. I'm getting better at these no spending days.

July Update: 3NSDs and 2CSDs
Only doing the needed errands. Trying to catch up on chores and staying out of the heat. CSDs are grocery and Walgreens as well as the needed items -- insurance, doctor bills, etc. Thanks to my system all funds are available to pay these. Putting on CC to get points (which I convert to cash back) and paying off as soon they hit the online listing.
Heat -- So far in July we have not had any days with a low less than 80. Highs are in the high 90s with heat index in the 100s. I am staying in the AC as much as I can.

July update:4 NSD, 4 CSD.
I decided at the last minute to get a peach pie and some ice cream for supper last night. It was too hot to do anything. The AC is on the list for Wednesday or even Sunday. Nothing else is needed so a couple more NSD's are around the corner for this week.
