It's a great pity the right of free speech isn't based on the obligation to say something sensible.

A good deal of the time, I don't have any idea who people are talking about when a discussion of celebrities ensues.

I vote for idiot, but then I thought that back when he married Madonna.
Apparently he fancies himself an investigative reporter. Also, apparently, because I haven't read the article he wrote for Rolling Stone, he isn't a very good journalist and his story had a bunch of holes in it. I guess Rolling Stone published it because of who Penn is.
I guess this is what Penn does for fun. I don't think it's illegal. Certainly journalists are allowed to interview criminals/terrorists/dictators if they can get access to them. There aren't any indications that he added or abetted him in anyway, is there?

I think it's probably something he does because his ego is greater than his capabilities. Sadly, that happens often!

They were just showing pictures of him on TV. Apparently the Mexican police were following him when he entered Mexico. Wish I had paid more attention but it will be on some of the news again I'm sure.

That's no surprise. Put a picture of Penn and Castillo side by side and tell me which one any red blooded man would be attrracted to

Now they claim the Mexican authorities were watching her's Penn's and El Chapo's texts and trying to locate the guy. They supposedly also asked American authorities to track Penn's cellphone.

His interview on 60 Minutes tonight still leaves me asking "why Sean Penn of all people?"

i liked him in Falcon and the Snowman. might be getting the title wrong. and wasn't he in that film about smuggling drugs out of Turkey and getting caught in their penal system? Brad David is Midnight Express? One of my favorite David Bowie songs. From Falcon and the Snowman: Ditto. It's been on frequent rotation for the past week.
