They pass a budget every year because is the law and otherwise people would get out in the streets.
Playing ball doesn't necessarily mean passing a budget but is more like they would have to in fact agree on the terms and share the same mentality/approach. When you play ball you need a team, YOUR team!

Nah. It's not you, VB. It often depends on how a thread develops. When posting a thread we often see it developing in one direction while, once posted, it actually develops in another direction. It's certainly not the fault of the original poster of the topic. It's just what happens when the readership and responses start to develop.

Well considering that he didn't actually even attempt to bring Republicans in on the discussion the first couple years, I'm not sure that's actually true; but then again, I'm sure it's easier for people from both sides to just point fingers rather than actually taking any blame for any of it.
