Again
My printer ran out of black ink w/o warning & I had NO backup on hand. I went to the web site of the place I had previously bought at their B & M - $19. Checked Staples online - $14.50-$17. Decided to check Amazon - $13 for new, real HP cartridge w/my 2 day prime shipping. I’ll be back in business on Mon and no running around.
I do NOT do enough Amazon to justify a Prime membership on my own. Hope I can continue on Dd’s.

I buy a lot of stuff on Amazon that can't even find locally. Love my Amazon Prime with free 2 day shipping and sometimes they get it here the next day. They were great at Christmas. No delays on anything at all.

I don't have Prime but I buy my printer cartridges on Amazon too. I just ordered a Canon XL cartridge for the first time (but I haven't used it yet).

Amazon now requires everyone to be in the same household, but they seem to have grandfathered family members that aren't. My husband, my daughter, my daughter-in-law, and my sister are on mine.
Make sure DD doesn't cancel her membership even if you have to subsidize it a little. Ours is so worth it.

I get around the whole same household thing by just having my mom's credit card a day shipping address saved under my prime account. She wants something she can get it and pay for it under my account.

It would be easy enough to just ship it to my house, though, and I'm sure they wouldn't mind billing it all to my Amazon credit card.

I love Amazon and I do buy enough to justify prime. I also enjoy the music I can listen to because I have prime. I'm not in to downloading movies, so don't use that feature.

Checked my tracking on the shopping notice. AMAZING! USPS actually delivered on Sun to my kitchen door (?) - they claim at 11:09 am BUT I was in the kitchen then & it wzas NOT then. Just brought it in to warm up before installing - it is 0 here in metro Chicago.
DD will NEVER cancel her prime. She orders several times a week. I will subsidize to about 20-25% if I need to do so because I only usually order around Christmas.

How much does it cost to have a membership? I never priced it. I don't think I order enough online to justify it either. I usually only order online around the holidays. And since having my debit card hacked, I'm kind of nervous about using it anyway.

It's $99 now. I order all the time. At Christmas we had packages showing up daily.

Andi I have a single credi card I use for all ONLINE PURCHases. Since it is generally 1-2/month I always remember and have never had problem.
YIPEE! cartridge is installed, aligned & working perfectly.

I also buy my dark chocolate in bulk on a subscription and it is cheaper than buying at target or walgreens. :-) PRIME NOW has come in handy a few times. Once when our battery was dead and no one we knew was home. We ordered one of those self battery jump kits and had it 2 hours later. Cost about the same as calling a service, but now we have the packs for emergencies. Sent from my SM-G920T using proboards

I signed up initially as a student and it was free for the first year, then $49, half price, after that. I also like the music and some tv/movies which are included free.

No delays on anything at all. You didn't buy the cheap Kindle did you? They had the $50 one marked down to $35 for Black Friday and I ordered 2, one for DS and then Mom decided she wanted one. That's usually a guaranteed there in 2 days or less, it was more like 3 weeks before we got shipping info. Still got them both before Christmas but I was starting to worry! That aside, I love my Prime membership!

They might give you a couple free months of Prime.

I like the convenience of shopping on my couch, but their shipping drives me a little batty. At Christmas I expect delays (and got them). However I ordered 4 items on Thursday at 1 pm with 2 day prime shipping and my items should be here by 8pm on Tuesday. I could understand Monday but Tuesday! Amazon didn't ship until Saturday.
ETA: they aren't even the best price on most things anymore. I was looking for a TV and best buy/local stores were better priced.

I had Amazon student for 4 years because I worked briefly at a college. This was the first year I had to pay full price.

I have prime but most of the time I will do the 5-9 day free shipping so I can get $1 credit towards videos. I'd say 95% of the time, I get my goods in 2 or 3 days anyway. I love amazon!

I still have student prime because my student email is mine forever. I order a lot from it so it's useful and use the video and sometimes music. My parents log in and use my shipping a lot.
I usually don't choose the credit because 1 dollar isn't worth that much of a delay. If it was a couple dollars then I probably would.

I ordered something on the 22nd and it came Christmas Eve. I was very surprised.

I get the longer delivery times with Prime too, 2 days isn't always 2 days. Seems like 4 or 5 sometimes. Still, even if the delivery sucks now and then, the video is worth it's weight in gold. DH watches Downton Abbey on there all the freaking time. Of the two of us, I never thought he'd be the obsessed one.

Yes, I need Prime because Curious George is the only way I get 15 mins of quiet!

I complained when something of mine was late and got a free month of Prime. That's the only thing I remember being late. Everything else at Christmas came on time or early. I get stuff in one day sometimes. I live in a Prime now area though. I did the slow shipping at Christmas on one thing I didn't need until January. For $2 I did it, I can get a $1.99 Kindle book with that. For $1 forget it.
