I had planned on bringing someone in once a month and the hubs said he can handle it . I will give it a month. Then I will bring someone in to clean.

More of DH's paperwork. I KNEW he was looking for a paper when he suggested going through his Shitepile yesterday, and I even guessed which one. It took me 5 min to find it but I "forgot" to tell him for a while For ONCE he was willing to do his paperwork .... DH started a "micro company" earlier this year for his translations (yes it's a thing here). Of course he claimed he never received any paperwork, so he was hit with late fees when he didn't file. He wanted to go through his Shitepile to prove he had never gotten the paperwork. Of course I found it within 5 min. So I've been though all his bank info (online or on paper), and filled in the paperwork. All he needs to do is sign it. As infuriating as it is that DH is so careless about paperwork (I wasn't exaggerating when I said he NEVER opens an envelope), he comes home from his FT job and spends many evenings translating, so the least I can do is fill in and file the paperwork for him. I probably wouldn't have been willing to do it before but I'm working a bit less this year (alas) and DS3 is not at home, so I have more time now. And I'm very grateful to him for the extra income. Nonetheless it was great timing that I was off today!

Jeep if it's making you unhappy, wait a week or two, but not a month. I don't know if you're working now or not (I'm guessing not) but you shouldn't have to wait a month to recuperate in a clean house.

I don't know if you're working now or not (I'm guessing not) but you shouldn't have to wait a month to recuperate in a clean house. No I'm still working about 30 hours a week. I work as a receptionist and my boss told me I can work until I can't anymore. It would be bad for me to stay and home and get inside my head. The weekend about drove me nuts. So, the deal was I would work and my daughter and my husband would take over cooking, cleaning and shopping. My daughter worked two jobs and went to school last week so she wasn't home much. My husband is trying. It's all just a lot of change for all of us. I don't know if it's so much of being unhappy or a control issue for me? I feel like I've lost some much control of everything in my life right now. It's just something I need to figure out.

I hope they can figure it out jeep. And I hope the fluid goes away soon!! It's a crappy feeling realizing just how little you have control of.

Hi Kids! Finally got the last of the information I needed to complete the latest pile of DS's paperwork. Got that stack in the mail, & now I'll see if I get a new bunch to fill out.
DS has no job training this week (school is out, and his program is closed during this time too). I'm trying to find ways to keep him occupied.

I have the 2 guardianships in good shape, need to bring it forward on spreadsheets its ready.
Reconciled up to date again on LLC, need to finally do the complete separation, I just keep putting it off and would rest better if I just did it.
I went in the basement, and went through suitcases, hubby would buy and buy them Must be at least 10 in the back of my car and a big bedspread. I'm bringing the daybed up to get rid of the frame, both ends are up, next and last is the back.
We still have several sets of suitcases, more then we need. I'm concentrating on reorganizing that one room down there and getting rid of stuff. DD said not my dolls, so need to put them in cases along the side and stack them I guess. I am sick of looking at that stuff. It's a lost room basically, 2 chest of drawers and a big table, one of those white ones just stacked with junk basically.
My husband is not happy with me. I started taking the valances and blinds out of the motorhome, going to recover them and clean, going to leave them down while the engine is getting overhauled. He said you will just make them be loose and pull off. Well they are dirty, the headboard is coming off too. I am taking the 2 kitchen chairs out and recovering them also. All of the stuff will be recovered, by me or someone else. Going to leave the curtains in front of the windshield for now but I will make new ones for those windows too. Going to make it look as good as I can. He said its old, not going to look new and silly to spend much on it. I said even though I'm tired I'm doing it myself so I don't have to hear how I'm wasting money. Sometimes he drives me up the wall.
Also have a green machine steam cleaner, so going to try and clean the ceilings in there.

<HUGS> for jeep108! You're doing SO well with all of this.
countrygirl, there's a guy who married into DH's family who sounds a lot like your DH. We've often joked he'd be a good candidate for "Grumpy Old Men". Hang in there, & do whatever you need to do.
Still SLOWLY putting the house back together. And, my new carpet cleaner arrived (thank you UPS!) last night. Our dog finally killed my old machine, so we really need this new one, after all of the rain we've gotten. Bad Boy Puppy has a talent for tracking up our house, even when we take the time to wipe his feet.

I'm ever so slowly putting my space together, it's a work in progress. Took me 15 minutes to find my Exjade medicine today, UGH! So yeah a good organizing is in order.

I just cleaned out the 3 bottom drawers in the kitchen armoire and vacuumed and cleaned them. Then I made right size liners to put into 2 of the drawers. My medicine drawer is finished, now I won't need to search for them.

I told husband this morning I needed some help getting the valances out of the motorhome and was asking him early before he got tired and cranky. He thought it was funny, yeah, right. So he and I took the rest of them down. He even took the chairs out I want covered and I got the headboard.
I priced buying 2 new day/night shades for the bedroom, holy crap, $450 EACH locally and $300 online. I can buy all the rest of the blinds in there for $200 which I am.
I had read online one time about washing the day night blinds. These are 25 years old, the originals with the motorhome as are all the blinds, you talk about quality. I decided I would try and if it didn't work would buy just regular metal mini blinds. It said use oxi clean, so I filled the one bathtub as high as I could get it, both were 59 inches long so could only submerge half at a time. I washed down each fold then flipped it and did the other side, poured a small waste basket of water over them time and time again. They were filthy, that many years old, I would think so. But they washed up beautifully, couldn't believe it, stood them up in the shower and rinsed them well, then wrapped the cords back around so the folds would dry back in them. It stated you had to refold them as they would lose the fold and spray with starch well these didn't. Stated on the back they were made in 1991, just wow.
I had washed the windshield curtains before and had to resew places but I'm sure they are original too, will try to order ready made but if I can't will make them, its hard to sew the tops of the pleats on a regular machine though, just to heavy. Each panel for the windshield is 8 ft wide. None of the fabric on anything had rotted, still can't believe it. I'm going to make all the valances and headboard the same color. Think I'm going with dark grey or slate colored aluminum minis again. The valances and curtains are burgundy, carpets and leather couches are grey, thinking maybe blue with them, not sure yet. The kitchen chairs will once again be floral for a contrast.

jeep108, how are you doing? Not much to report here. Spent all day yesterday in the big city doing errands and attending the presidential rally. No hand shakes, but the pilot waved at me. Over 6.5 hours on my feet and a sunburn souvenir, LOL. My kitchen is a disaster. Bought: Halloween party prizes Mask for me and wig for DH 300 pieces of Halloween candy, deodorant for DH, and a few other items at Sam's Bought a sandwich at Arby's. $4.51 for just the sandwich. Really? Clear polish for the run in my pantyhose before the rally. Here's to un-burying my kitchen tonight.

I do get a little bit of a scratchy throat after radiation. So far sucking on hard candy helps. I just hope it doesn't get any worse than the scratchy feeling.

Been working on the kitchen and now prepping meals for the next week.
I started drilling 2x4s for the bench and now need to start assembling this afternoon. I wish I didn't have the gym in the middle of the day today, it would be bad to show up covered in sawdust.
The gardener who was supposed to work in the yard today didn't show up so I'm hoping we can reschedule later this week and get the backyard fixed up. It would be nice to get all the bricks out of my trunk and fill in the front yard plot. So much to do out there!
I also messaged someone about taking out the tree stump in the front yard, it needs more firepower to get down to level with the rest of the yard and those roots are huge. Between the electrician and yard work it's going to be an expensive week!

Hi Kids! It was a long, but productive day. So glad DS was off, & could help me down at Mom's, because with my sore back I needed him to help lift a chair & Mom's vacuum into my car. We'll go back the day before closing next week to get the lamps and timers I use there to "keep away the riffraff". I also took the time to take a bunch of pictures of the house, to help me remember what the inside looks like when my memories begin to fade, as I spent my entire childhood growing up in that house.
Had to stop by the contractor's house to get my spare key to that house. I got a last-minute call from Mom's attorney, saying he needs me to stop by the office tomorrow, rather than next week, to sign off on some more paperwork. Good thing I didn't have any firm plans.
countrygirl, I'm impressed with the project you're taking on. And you're right: older blinds are a lot more sturdy than the new ones they make now. If the ones in the bathroom at Mom's house hadn't had rust on them, I probably would've kept them in place.

I couldn't keep the aluminum ones, looks like someone in the past had an ankle biter and they had bitten the ends of several of the blinds, I would just pull them up a bit so it didn't show. Didn't want to fix stuff till we were sure we were going to fix and keep the motorhome.

Knee Deep in Water Chloe, that is indeed a long day! Kitchen project began last night. Before I got home, DH emptied the dishwasher and drainer, something he rarely does. I'm off tomorrow so I've been working late this week to compensate. I filled and started the dishwasher, did a boatload of hand washing, and cleared off and wiped down two counters. Tonight I'm going to do a load of laundry, and prep some food for the weekend.

Ouch Knee Deep in Water Chloe! I've worked 12-hour days, and they're exhausting. I hope you get a day or two to recharge.
Glad I was at the attorney's office today instead of next week, as we discovered a problem or two with the closing paperwork. At least we've got a bit of extra time to get things corrected. I'm sure next week will go by at warp speed.
DH & I got a walk in tonight at the nearest mall, as it's getting too cold & windy to walk outdoors. (DS already has some congestion thing going on, & I'm a bit congested too, so I don't want it to get worse.) DH just finished putting my new carpet cleaner together, so I'll give it a "test run" tomorrow. Bad Boy Puppy just tracked in some new dirt, so we'll see how well it works.

I had a reminder today about how much you can get done in a short period of time. This morning I was cooking my minute oatmeal and while waiting for the 1 cup of water to boil and then the 1 minute for the oatmeal to cook I got the majority of the dishwasher emptied.
Every once in a while I need a reminder that some of these jobs I put off really do not take that long.

I got the job I interviewed for today. I'll be doing a half-day there starting in Jan. They wanted me to do more. I told them I couldn't this year, but I'd be happy to do more as of Sept. They were OK with that. Next semester is going to be difficult but I'm happy about the money. Marking schedule- Tues: 14 essays - Wed: 18 essays - Thurs: 9 essays - Fri: 41 Vocab - Sat: 41 Grammar I'll finish these midterms tomorrow morning while DH is at music. ETA: I have to fill out a lot of paperwork for the new school but I'll do that after I finish these exams.

Yes! The tree stump is out The guy showed up on time, made sure to protect my house and windows from flying rocks, cleaned up after himself and left a bunch of mulch for me to use! Well worth the investment and now I can get working on clearing out that area. I had some issues with the wood for the bench so I picked up more 2x4s yesterday and my goal tonight is to assemble all of the horizontal pieces of the frame and starting cutting the vertical ones. Electrician shows up at 9am tomorrow so I'll need to clear some space for him to work.
