2016 Declutter and Get Organized Thread

I will be looking up flights and hotels when I get off work I go to Houston Jan. 18th.

Jeep, is your husband able to transfer to Houston temporarily?

Still to do
- get bathroom bulb
- return gloves NO NEED!
- return / exchange photo frames
- plan new course 

Went to the store today and exchanged the frames. The wedding pictures are now in matching frames that fit.

Now that all the errands are done and I've enjoyed my week off, I'm going to have to think about planning that new course.

I would contact the hospital and ask about hotels nearby. Some large hospitals have a hospitality agreement with local hotels where you pay reduced rates. Also, ask about a local charity that provides temporary housing for cancer patients' families-something similar to Ronald Donald House which services families with ill children. There are a few charity houses like Hope House I need to call.  They do have a link on their website that's call Joe's List that tells you prices and how close they are to the hospital. I'm just flying for more tests and a consult this trip we will probably be scheduling my surgery as well.  I hope we have enough time to find a place once we get dates.  We'll just be staying in a hotel close by for this trip.

My living room is back to its pre-holiday normal.  It always feels so good to get the furniture back in place and have that super deep vacuum done since the furniture is all being moved anyway.  I also got 3 totes hauled back up into the attic today and 1 of the Christmas tree stands.  The outdoor lights are still up along with the little porch Christmas tree that SIL brought me.  Slowly but surely the house is getting back in order.
