I've been away for a while, than I came back and I see old threads that are going long so it'll soon be able to stretch over the globe. Remember how we used to have funny treads? So funny that some people were on a verge of losing their jobs because of giggling and spitting coffee on company electronics? Nowadays it is all just...whatever. WHY? Let's remember those funniest moments. Like I can't forget DebiMD...who can, right? A doctor who spent 24/7 in this forum and I had never gotten an answer when is she attending to the patients. Or whatshername gold digger with son supported by ex husband... Anyone?

Or whatshername gold digger with son supported by ex husband... I think the last incarnation was Great AKA Itsagreattoday or something similar.
I'll always remember the DebMD post about her washing and re-using baggies that she'd marinated raw chicken in.

Loony you mean Doxie? I think we had a suspected Doxie clone a few months back? Hopefloats or something? (not sure if it was ever confirmed) I fondly remember the MU and Fatty Patty.

Doxie was a new one here. Itsagreatday was from an old place. Remember she was getting her son everything by milking that ex of hers who I don't even think was his dad. And her spa trips and $$$$ that she was getting as a divorce settlement. MU was her YM boyfriend. AND OMG 'Who doesn't love Muscle Up?' - I could chock him if I was nearby!

Everyone does not love MU. I don't miss DebMD and the crazy fonts. To me funny threads are like the duct tape wedding dress and some of the silly shopping threads.

Of course everyone hated him! But it was annoying funny and he left a footprint in everyone's heart! Duct tape wedding dress sounds familiar but I don't remember

I miss IowaSwirl - she was the one who could translate even the worst posts, like she did for the duct tape wedding dress poster.
Ah, the days of MuscleUp, his first "mate" Fatty Patty and their trysts aboard the dirty dinghy, the S.S. Banana Peel. Hopefully, he is still out there somewhere, sailing along.

IowaSwirl was great. I hope she didn't leave because of the lack of translation work.

those mentioned here above had a different opinion and was ganged up on with supposed good advise
then some of those posts went personal towards said member(s) then mentioned member feelings gets hurt and starts crying, and deletes account

Yes because the block feature doesn't work? Agreed. I never could understand why people who don't like what one poster has to say don't use that simple feature, instead of packing up their wagon and leaving. This is a virtual world, and you should enjoy it, no matter what. If you let one person hurt your feelings here, how on earth do you handle real life?

Yes because the block feature doesn't work? Zib, most people don't block a bunch of people when they are being attacked on a thread they started. Its more common to lock the thread. However, if someone is not available to help lock the thread, posters can crank out a page or two before a Mod is available.
I usually have to ask a Mod how to block someone because I forget and its not something you can do from the thread. Deleting your account is simple, probably why its chosen fairly often.

I think it had more to do with feeling hurt/abused by multiple posters in a short window of time. Many people do not handle that well in real life or virtual.

This is a virtual world, and you should enjoy it, no matter what. If you let one person hurt your feelings here, how on earth do you handle real life? I don't understand, either, Nancy. Even if you don't recall, or know how to block a poster, you can easily avoid the thread. You're not obligated to look at everything anyone says, whether it's about you, or not. We're all capable of ignoring those we don't care for and those who are behaving like jackarses. It's also possible to Report that sort of behavior. Most of the people who delete their accounts end up coming back. Seems to me that would be worse than just stepping back and finding something else to do for awhile, then returning when you feel better able to deal with the situation if you simply can't abide not reading what you feel is inappropriate or insulting and aren't willing to take action to let staff deal with it. That said, some of those mentioned previously didn't leave on their own. They were removed for disruptive behavior. All were warned, multiple times, but chose to continue. Their choices led to the removal of their accounts. That's a totally different issue. While some might have found these people amusing, others didn't. No one of us has the absolute definition of "funny." If an individual poster continues to post in such a way as to keep the staff busy reacting to Reports and deleting their unacceptable posts you can bet that poster is going to take a vacation. If the poster can't learn, the vacation can well become permanent.

There were some bizarre posters. That's for sure. We have a few here but nothing like the old days. I thought MU was a hoot and never took him seriously but others did. The big "D" I never thought was funny at all. Got roped into her lies a few times then was glad she was outed and banned then unhappy she was given another chance but she needed to be permanently gone. But I only have one person on ignore and every once in awhile I look to see if he's still being a twit, he stil is, I leave him on - problem solved. There's some stalkers I seem to have picked up but I just leave when they start stalking. I figure they are desperately messed up women. They sure come across that way. Just glad they're only in my virtual life. Feel sorry for those that aren't.

I passed it on to the MuscleUp this morning that you wanted caress his neck and have your way with him. as far as still being on the x's payroll … (to make this about money) I'm trying to figure out how not to pay as much in taxes in 2016!! Any ideas? As hard as I try to find tax credits/deductions for my salon hair cuts and color, mani's and pedi's its not happening, maybe I should fire the current CPA and hire you to help me keep more of those hard earned bucks? You would be proud of me to know I've been working my behind off in my belly dancing and zumba classes, men love the belly dancing act I have going on. How's life going for GF?
