Shooby I've watched both previous seasons & the first year show with Doug-Jamie & Jason-Courtney. I think I'm addicted!
I can't believe how many applicants they have had. 20,000!

I really like Neil and Samantha. He's adorable. I feel bad for David as Ashley doesn't seem to thrilled to be paired with him. And the other couple look great together.

Someone told about this show recently. I had never heard of it before. Maybe I'll watch a couple of them and see what I think.

I watched it last year and a bit of this year. The old guy marrying the 19 year old when he has a 21 year old daughter sorta creeped me out.

So do they really get married at first sight? Do they get paid to do this or what? I couldn't imagine...

There are 4 professional doctors that match them up. They use extensive screening & applicant process to find the right 6 people out of thousands of applicants.

I am about over Jamie. I think she wants to be the next Kim K. She treats Doug like crap & is so fake. I did used to like her initially.

It sounds like an interesting experiment but meeting one another at the alter... I am not sure there is enough money in the universe to make me to that.

I am not sure there is enough money in the universe to make me to that. All of the applicants are late 20s or early 30s & have so far had no luck with dating. They hope the experts can help them meet their soul mate. A new twist on arranged marriage. I think I would probably do it if I was in the proper age group.

The choice I made all by myself sucked. Nothing wrong in giving 4 doctors a try, I suppose! Couldn't be any worse.

That is pretty much the sentiment of the participants. I couldn't do it myself so let the experts try.

The part about being "legally bound" to someone is what I would have a problem with. I have a hard time making that leap on my own so there is no way I would let another person decide that kind of thing for me. In my mind it is the same as people (who I have personally known) who walk down the aisle knowing the person isn't right for them but have the attitude that they can always get divorced.
Now if it was something like agreeing to live together for 6 months I might be okay with that. In general, I would NEVER marry anyone I hadn't lived with or had sex with. I realize not everyone feels the same way.

The experts say that the legally bound part make the couple try harder to work through problems & stay together. The process weeds out the people who have the mindset that if it doesn't work out they will just get divorced. But so far only two of the previous six couples have stayed for the long haul. And one of them I'm not so sure aren't staying together just to be on the show. This season will hopefully up the number of couples who stay together otherwise I think the concept can be deemed a failure.

Its Ok. She tried. She doesnt feel it. Go back to the ex. Doug is smitten with having a trophy wife. They both need to face reality.

I think Ashley should have been paired with Neil. He has the dark hair & eyes she is attracted to & they both have a handicapped brother. I think that gives them a good common ground. Neil certainly deserves better that psycho Sam.
