I agree. He is definitely f'd up.
Oh, that's not quite what you said. Never mind.
Why? Because he believes in the Constitution and the rule of law?

Could someone post a blank legal birth certificate document from the time period here to show how the document lists the citizenship of parents of the newborn child? Could his mother simply say to Canadian officials I renounce American citizenship without ever doing it? Looks like Cruz just has to release his birth certificate to America showing his mother was an American citizen, thereby proving he is natural born citizen simply born outside the confines of the USA, but I do not know how Canada documents it on their certificates. Kind of like Obama in 2007? Just release it!

Why? Because he believes in the Constitution and the rule of law? No, because he believes in whatever suits him, and will happily sacrifice anything around him to get it. Even his law professor says so:

linkLOL! If that's all you've got, you might want to get used to saying "President Cruz".

Cruz is a slimy POS. He can't work with anybody, he doesn't give a damn about anybody, he'll lie to everybody, and I don't at all understand how the evangelicals he is courting as his main supporters can have ANY faith that he is sincere in his beliefs. Should I go on?

Actually last time I read the Constitution I thought it was pretty clear about the role religion should play in our government...

This is just further indications he is a Cuban DI sleeper agent. How sneaky of Castro to plant him in Canada.

I don't think Cruz's mom was living in Canada long enough before his birth to have become a citizen.

Hard to say. Most I've seen is that she got married and moved in 1968-1969 but I haven't seen anything definitive. Ted was born in late December of 1970, so it would likely have been at least a year. Depending on Canadian law it could be a real problem.

I can't imagine anyone making it through a permanent residency in that time, let alone citizenship.

So it depends on Canadian law, apparently. Did she accept Canadian citizenship or reject it? Canada did not at that time allow dual-citizenship. Was it necessary to renounce U.S. citizenship? Was it indeed automatic? There are definitely questions here.
(On a personal note, I hope he IS ineligible. Can't stand that little f***. He should not be allowed anywhere near power.)

very interesting NH poll: Trump +18 Kasich +2 Rubio +0 Cruz +3 that's right. Kasich! i am slack jawed over this result. Trump is barely out of polling error with Kasich in the latest poll, at +7. i am going to laugh so hard if Trump loses NH. but it won't be the first time. i laughed pretty hard when Romney lost in 2008, as well. he was leading by 14% at this point. disclaimer: Trump has a 70% chance of winning NH right now. but he should be worried. he hasn't been focusing on Kasich, and Kasich has been absolutely assaulting him with the ads- just going for the jugular. i think it is pretty damned funny. LOL!

hotair.com/archives/2016/01/19/oh-my-new-poll-of-new-hampshire-puts-kasich-at-20-just-seven-points-behind-trump/i just noticed something about Trump's polling numbers in NH. he has not got over 1/3 of the vote since OCTOBER. the polling averages are dropping for everyone other than Trump and Kasich, indicating a two man race, but not the two men i expected. edit: two months ago, Kasich was in 7th in NH. his numbers right now represent the high point of his NH campaign. edit2: read that article. it is told from a conservative perspective, and includes the phrase "John Farking Kasich". i laughed a bunch of times.

I have to admit I am shocked Kasich has moved that far up. He has sounded like he belonged in the Democratic nomination debates rather than the Republican debate.
I do (did?) like him, but he has been flying to the left in the party, and that puts him where half of Senate and House Republicans are now, and we are looking for some backbone for our Presidential candidate to lead the Republican party in both Houses to the right in 2016.

I was sort of pushing him to the Vice President slot, so he could help swing Ohio and Pennsylvania to the Republican side this year.
Got to consider the Electoral College count and get to the right number.

What is amazing about the debates this year, is how far down the ladder the black vote seems to be considered. You hear about Black lives matter, but it still seems even with the Dems, there is not as much discussion on black issues, and what anyone will do to win their vote. Yes, I know the issues are discussed but not to the level and quantity of years past. Terrorism is the Benghazi! keyword this year, and other issues are overwhelmed by it. It should change this fall after the conventions and center more on issues coming from within the country.

It should change this fall after the conventions and center more on issues coming from within the country. some people are going to hate me for saying this, but i actually think it is smart- strategically. even with a concerted effort, the GOP would have difficulty banking 1M votes from blacks. Democrats are not working on that angle, and neither is the GOP, because of it. Latino's are another matter entirely. there is huge capital in play there in terms of votes. HUGE. if the GOP can appeal to Latinos, and even SPLIT that vote, they are going to win, imo. and so, i suspect, especially if a Latino IS the candidate for the GOP, that block is going to get a lot of Spanish language messaging.

If Kasich was #1 I might vote R, but not at #2... not sure he has the velocity to swing anyone who might be in the first slot to a win.

If we are going to risk having a Canadian as POTUS can't we all agree that Virgil would be the best choice? He knows exactly everything that is wrong with our country and I'm sure he could cook up a plan to fix it.
