I got mine at Walgreens in another state that I happened to be visiting. Get a shot; they give one to a child in 3rd world country.
No reaction. Not even tender at injection site.
A friend had long-term arm pain. Couldn't lift her arm above her shoulder for 4 days.

Well, since @patstab admitted that she doesn't get one I guess I will fess up and say I've never had any of the shots. Figured I would be a minority of one if I admitted it here  I've never had a flu shot. I've never had the flu. |

I prefer the flu shot, but the army won't let you have it unless you are too young or old for mist or if pregnant or have some medical reason. I almost didn't get it this year, but DH made me. Then we both got sick.

I got both flu shots (I think there were 2) the year H1N1 came around, still got H1N1...  that's the only time I've gotten sick after getting a flu shot, and that was obviously a different situation than regular seasonal flus that go around. |

Well, DS is really sick now. Puking and coughing and his throat hurts. He sounds awful and it looks like I'll be calling in to work tomorrow.  |

Well, DS is really sick now. Puking and coughing and his throat hurts. He sounds awful and it looks like I'll be calling in to work tomorrow.  Hate it when the little ones are sick. Hope he gets better soon. |

We're at urgent care. He has strep throat. Been waiting almost an hour for a doc to take a look because his tonsils are massive and it freaked out the RN. Otherwise we'd be off getting his script filled by now.

We're at urgent care. He has strep throat. Been waiting almost an hour for a doc to take a look because his tonsils are massive and it freaked out the RN. Otherwise we'd be off getting his script filled by now. Aaaah! I hate strep b/c it freaking hurts. Hugs to DS and you and prayers for a better night and day tomorrow. |

I've never had a flu shot. I've never had the flu. I got them the 2 years when I got brownie points in my employer's wellness program if I got one. I get sick (as in puking or being sick enough to work back when I was working) maybe once every 5 years. I get a bad cold about once a year. Dead virus or not, DH's docs won't let him get a flu shot because meds he's taking depress his immune system and they're afraid it will make him sick. |
