I'm thinking i'm at that point in life whereby my annual trip to Florida would be too much by car, as i dont fly the train looks like a good plan B, what amenities are there on the train, Dining car? bar car? TVs, Wifi.
The trip will actually start in Montreal but there is a transfer of trains in NYC.
Thanks for any info

For that long of a trip, it would be worth spending the extra for a sleeping room, unless you can sleep just fine in a bus seat surrounded by unruly children ( my wife had this issue on a longer train ride a few years ago and said never again). The train will have a dining car and room to get up and walk around, not sure about the bar or wi-fi, but that should be easy enough to check on. Be ready for multiple stops along the way. It's not the quickest way there, but it could be a good adventure. I'm sure the Amtrak website will have all the info you're looking for.

How long a trip would that be? On the multi-day Amtrak trips I went on as a kid, we slept in our coach seats (to save money) but you can get a sleeper if you want; there is a dining car where we had meals, there's a snack bar you can buy stuff from, and an observation car with all glass so you can sit and watch everything go by. I loved it. I'd do it again but would probably get a cabin to sleep better/get away from everyone, although if it was only one night I'd probably suck it up & sleep in a coach seat.
