Only income is from self-employment; 1099 shows EIN. Use SSN or EIN in tax return? Thanks.

1099 shows whose EIN? The payee's or yours?

Archie - EIN is mine. Had to get one because the my client (the payor), for whom I did some freelance work, required it. Thanks.

george....
you use your SS number for the form 1040 to identify yourself...
you use the EIN on the form schedule C in box D to identify the business...
