A is getting invited to classmate's parties now. We went to the first and she was one of 2 school kids that showed up. Now we have another invite for a day when we cannot attend. I will RSVP our regrets, but do we still need to send a present? we dont know this kiddo at all, so its not like a family member or close friend. But I've never done all of this stuff before so I dont know what is normal

Sam-you might not know the child but your daughter does.
Along with your RSVP, mail along a bithday card from your daughter.

No gift necessary. Many parents invite all the kids in the class, so no one will feel left out. See how well A knows this child, she may not even know them that well, before deciding whether you want to send a card or not.

A card is a great idea. A loves to color cards and I have a ton at home already. Thanks!

No gift, but the card sounds like a great idea.
