As a liberal, I am disappointed in President Obama. I am most disappointed in his appointment of two moderates to the Supreme Court.

I'll take a moderate...don't think he would have been comfortabkkle with ulta lef...now oops, just was going to suggest something that I questioned another some where else to try and stay away from..mmmm , now how do you do this , let me think. Ok try this. Some POTUS of some parties have no problem going the extreme route but I think this President , at this time , had a hard time with that. possiblem if later in his term of office if the opportunity arises, possible he might have a different out look on it. {How was that?}

Anyone see the President golfing this morning on the news? It was from yesterday. His swing is worse than mine, but I'll bet his slice (or is it his hook) still goes way to the far left, while mine goes to the right. We are bioth lefthanded-it is just our brains are wired differently, politically speaking.
What surprised me, was, there he is walking to the tee, right along a busy street, or maybe a Boulevard. He could not be more than probably 75 from the public street, with traffic whizzing by. The video, did not show any Secret Service members, watching the perimeter, but they were probably there somewhere. I was just taken aback a little, about how he seemed so out in the open unprotected. The surprising thing about the commentary on MSNBC was about the President on vacation and actually golfing, and how President Bush gave it up after being nailed by the press for doing it shortly after 9/11. MSNBC seems to be changing their perspective on the Presdient, at least in the morning editions. Nothing has changed in the evening propaganda machine.

MSNBC seems to be changing their perspective on the Presdient, at least in the morning editions. Nothing has changed in the evening propaganda machine. Reality check: President Bush said yesterday that he gave up golfing in 2003 "in solidarity" with the families of soldiers who were dying in Iraq, concluding that it was "just not worth it anymore" to play the sport in a time of war. "I don't want some mom whose son may have recently died to see the commander in chief playing golf," Bush said in a White House interview with the Politico. "I feel I owe it to the families to be as -- to be in solidarity as best as I can with them. And I think playing golf during a war just sends the wrong signal." Bush said he decided to stop playing golf on Aug. 19, 2003, when a truck bomb in Baghdad killed U.N. special representative Sergio Vieira de Mello and more than a dozen others. www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2008/05/13/AR2008051302783.html

REALITY CHECK: I guess you never watched MSNBC or CNN showing him on the course and then trashing the man. They did. Yes, that is what the President said, as you posted, but it does not change the fact he was roasted by the media at the same time.
In any event, I was surprised by MSNBC'S comments on Obama.

I thought I read that Obama kept the golf and basketbll but gave up "relations ' with Michelle as his sacrifice till we start with drawing from Afganistan. Think I saw tha some where..i'll go try to find the link for you doubters. Now that to me is a real sacrifice.

Okay, back to politics and the President. Is he back in DC yet, or his he still wasting time in Hawaii while America suffers from the Economic collapse? Good lord! More nonsense? The President of the United States is NEVER off clock. Where ever he goes he goes with the best communications systems money can buy. He's never out of the loop, never has a day when he's cut off from allies and advisers, and never has a day when he's not in a position to make decisions. This is really low brow nonsense sh*t. If you don't like the decisions he's making then by all means, damn away, but don't play this talking head inspired game of saying he's not doing his job in the way he deems fit. There's a reason these guys look fit and trim going in and look like tired old men going out.

Last year, they discovered when the Christmas bomber on the plane fisco was occurring, they had trouble keeping in touch with D.C. Bush on9/11 had trouble with communication from Air Force one with Washington headquarters It seems their communication abilities are not quite as good as they lead the American people to believe.

Has the President left Hawaii yet? Talk about stretching a vacation out. Most people would be fired for extending a vacation without permission. And I did not see the voting public give him permission.

He found out what exactly happens when they pull that crap. He will find out again in 2012. I think Nobama knows that he is a one term President, and is going to do what he wants for as long as he can get away with it.

They only like taking potshots at members of the P&M Board and making fun of both sides over here

Actually I can tell you now, but he gave me a call a few days ago and asked my opinion about the extension of the vacation..kids out of school..the vegetable garden..all that and knowing me as a middle to the left..he would get the straight scoop..just told him kids are smart and who in their right mind knowing there is a real war going on, teachers and educators needed all around the globe, power to call people up in a emergency who would be crazy enough to fail the Potus kids . He agreed there. Vegatable garden..reminded him he hates his veggires..so less is best..he agreed there. As far as the extension..told him I quietly asked around this board, consensus is he is loved as no other POTUS has ever been so take his time , spend another week if he has the mind do do so.

They aren't interested in politics, they are interested in vacations. Yeah, but the problem is, nobody ever gives any of those guys on EE a vacation no matter what they say.

It is not a Constitutional requirement for the POTUS to even be a "man of God", so honestly, I could care less about his religious beliefs. That is exactly what we have in the President. Many Americans do believe it would be the right thing to have in the White House. since when does the "opinion of many Americans" vs. "a Constitutional requirement" make it a necessity?
