President Obama attended Sunday church services while on vacation in Hawaiia. Of all places, a military chapel, of surprise, surprise, a Marine Base. Man he is going for the middle of the road vote. Tax relief extension, and now church and the military, all in a month. Does he really think he can stop the Tea Party movement that easily?

Note to self:Header page has limited character assignment. Thread should be: Let's get down to some Politics! The President goes to church!!

Yeah, funny how that works. Much longer message bodies, but shorter headers than the old boards.

He is one and done unless he inserts us in a total war. Well if he stays true to form, it's anything for the cause. The cause being himself. Barack Obama is warning democrats that if the Bush tax cuts don’t pass, he’s finished. It’s all about Obama. The Hill reported, via HotAir: “The White House is putting on tremendous pressure, making phone calls, the president is making phone calls saying this is the end of his presidency if he doesn’t get this bad deal,” he told CNN’s Eliot Spitzer. Obama’s push shows that the president is going to the mat in order to push through Congress the compromise brokered with Republicans. During the end of the healthcare debate, Obama reportedly told Democrats upset that the bill did not contain a public healthcare option that not passing it could put his presidency on the line and stall the liberal agenda for decades. hotair.com/archives/2010/12/15/dem-rep-obama-told-us-if-the-tax-deal-doesnt-pass-its-the-end-of-his-presidency/

Many Americans do believe it would be the right thing to have in the White House.

So I take it you won't be voting or the man when he runs in 2012? He and his wife dropped in to a Marine base for a few hours and shook some hands and thanked the troops for their sacrifice, guess thats considered a no, no by you..and a few others, to shake hands with a sitting President..to me a honor. Actually I am getting up there and the only President I have ever seen was a drive through in Hartford , Ct. {he was a tall one I remember} shortly after the assassination..to to have the privilidge of seeing and actually shaking hands with any sitting POTUS would be a honor I believe. Possible even Bush Jr......I think.
"He is one and done unless he inserts us in a total war." Don't agree with you there , two more years which is 1/2 his term..we'll see. More important..HOW DO YOU USE THE QUOTE THING AGAIN... Help.

Dezi, hit the "quote button" to the top right of the message you are reading. It automatically pulls the message into you reply box as a quote.
I did not vote for him in 2008. I do not see myself voting for him in 2012.

What if you don't want to quote the whole message? delete what you don't want. If you copy/paste text (sometimes) it adds a link like this: The link is not necessary and can be deleted.

I believe that the Tea Party movement will stop it's self by it's self. To many of their ideas are the same old same old of conservative republicans.
Even if the Tea Party does keep going, they will just divide the republican vote & insure another democrat gets in. The Tea Party has not & will not attract more than a handful of democrats (as in 5 or so & I don't mean 5 percent).

What if you don't want to quote the whole message? You can also break up a long message by adding the quote] [/quote where needed.... It can be a bit tedious, but it looks better and it is easier to read / follow if you break up a long post to address several points separately.

quote] You place the text you wish to quote between the the brackets [/quote Like this? EDIT: nope Bills...you need to add the open bracket in front and the close bracket on the end. I had to omit them otherwise it would have taken my example as a quote rather than text. ETA: hit the "insert quote" link to see the proper format.

My guess (& I don't know because I've never been in a room with him) is that President Obama is a very charismatic person. President Clinton was the same way. I think it's great that he went to church on a military base. Who knows maybe he will learn something from the Marines.
Just as a side note on one of my own personal beliefs. If I were president & we were involved in a war. I would make whatever time needed available to see every single military casket that came back from overseas. Not very practical I know but I would want to make sure that I knew the cost of something that I ordered. To many presidents (or for that matter government officials) are clueless about that.

...Is he back in DC yet, or his he still wasting time in Hawaiia while America suffers from the Economic collapse? Reminds me of the time during the last presidential campaign when Candidate McCain suspended his campaign to fly back to Washington to sit in his condo in Washington DC and telephone his colleagues to talk about what to do to save the economy.

Reminds me of the time that George Bush spent however long at his ranch in Texas on a working vacation. Come on guys, we have internet, we have cell phone, we have video conferences. You're saying the President has to be in DC to work? <<eye roll>>

I was referring to the idea that President Obama needs to be physically in Washington D.C. to get something accomplished in regards to his job as POTUS.

Okay, back to politics and the President. Is he back in DC yet, or his he still wasting time in Hawaiia while America suffers from the Economic collapse? Truman use to spend weeks in Florida, Palm Beach, his second White House, Eisenhower, his farm in Gettysburge, Roosevelt in warm springs Geoga, had to go by train, Carter, Plains Georgia, Camp David, Kennedy , the cape, Truman, don't remember.somewhere I am sure, Bush Sr. , Maine, Bush Jr, Texas, Grant , some bar some where...they all spent plenty of time some where. Want to criticize the man do so, on issues , policy, and the BS, why not TRY to leave over at the soon to be gone place..give it a shot.
