Sounds like a typical reaction by a tired 11 year old to a new experience.

Wow - I think that pretty much sums up these refugees doesn't it? "I want a place that guarantees me, my family a life."
Not "I want to be able to earn a good life for my family," but that the "place" guarantees them a good life. Talk about entitlement.
And did you hear some of these refugees keep trying to get to Germany or scandinavian countries? And why? Because those countries offer more generous welfare benefits!! Who would want these freeloading sons of bitches? They're just looking for the biggest handouts, not the best opportunities.

IMHO, the days of the hardworking immigrants moving to new countries, trying to improve their lives and get better opportunities for their children, are long gone. They have been replaced by freeloading whiners who are only looking for the best welfare benefits from whatever sucker country/state will match their feelings of self-pity.

Could 'guarantees' possibly mean an opportunity to earn a living and support his family?

There are no 'guarantees' in life. Come into a country, don't learn the language, you're not even guaranteed a minimum wage job. IMHO they're upset bc their welfare is ending.

Had they complained during the guaranteed housing period, I would have given them credit. HOWEVER they waited until free housing was running out and adults didn't bother to sufficiently learn the language. A chance isn't a guarantee and they are bitching that they don't get non-governmental businesses aren't obligated. Tennesseer, I know the difference between chance V opportunity V guarantee. Apparently it didn't translate to them Chance = you have the chance to win the lottery if you buy a ticket Opportunity = a set of circumstances when acted upon makes something possible Guarantee = owed based on a promise

Rethinking : the only thing guaranteed in life is death & taxes.
