Watch out, last night Chicago Cubs pitcher, Jake Arrieta, pitched a no hitter. The previous 2 times a Chicago Cubs pitcher had a no-hitter, the stock market tanked about 30% each time. Will the "trend" continue?

So I know they had one in 2008, couldn't remember the prior one so I had to look it up. Did the market tank in September 1972?

Looking it up, it was a 2 year drop. Someone was stretching to make that correlation, but it sounded interesting. Of course if you are a Dodgers fan, you are saying that the error was a hit and they weren't no hit anyway, so it doesn't matter.

Not enough anywhere near recent data to correlate anything after World Series wins fortunately (or pennant wins for that matter).
Same ole lovable (loathable?) losers

Well in the same article that was read on the radio, the author said the last time the Cubs went to the world series that 2 cities were destroyed (end of WWII) - talk about a stretch.
ETA - it is yet to be proven, but this team is not the same lovable losers. And not every team in the last decade has been lovable. I also love how people call them chokers when most years they aren't competitive. That isn't choking, that is just sucking.
