My subject line says it all.
I think life is officially complex enough for me now that I need to get a smart phone with an online calendar.
DH has an old iPhone. It's a 4-something. I would be fine using it, because it means no extra $$, but, if it's going to be obsolete soon, because of the OS, I'd rather get something that's not going to age out in 5 months.
I'm not interested in spending $200 on a phone. So, there's that.
Suggestions?

I'm curious too - my current contract will end early next year and it sounds like while the major carriers are moving away from contracts, the downside is that I'll need to pay $700 for a phone. So I'm looking at options too. My current phone is a Samsung Galaxy 4

I get phones off ebay or Craigslist. I have a couple S3s I bought for $150 each. DS has a 4S I got for $120. I just bought another 4S brand new in the sealed box for $110 as a backup for him, but turns out it won't work for him anyhow as it's only an 8GB. He puts a lot of games on his phone and his 16GB is nearly full as it is. I'll probably just relist that on Craigslist.

I bought my current phone from Glyde, listed on Ting's website. It is an HTC Evo Shift 4G. It was refurbished, in like new condition. I paid $80 plus shipping. I've had it for a year and a half now. It works great.

Sorry....we can't help here. We bought iPhone 6, so paid some $$ for them.
However, I just want to say that we got our bills from out long weekend in Canada. $48, and it includes roaming calls, texts and data. I was expecting it to be worse....much worse.

I use Net10 and just bought a Motorola Moto G 3rd generation for $180. I've been using it for a week. My previous phone was a Galaxy S3 Mini. The Moto G is larger, latest Android operating system, better cameras, slightly more memory (I bought the 8G version because the 16G was not available on Best Buy - I bought it the weekend after it was released). Biggest concern is that the battery is integrated, so if it goes bad, the phone is bad. Otherwise, it seems like a decent value if you want a new smartphone.
