I miss the old days when we could talk about the economy on the money board. The stock market tanked today. Used to be that would be a topic the day it happened. I guess things change. I liked talking about money at the macro level. I never was much interested in family budgets like some.

Hickle-you have the Investing Perspectives, Market Talk and Investing; Basics and Beyond boards to discuss exactly what you would like to discuss.

We can't? Do you mean because the mods do housekeeping and try to keep topics organized? Seems like we have discussed it on YM before, like in 2015 before, not the good ol' days or whatever.
I bought yesterday and today. I've been waiting for this. I might be only about 50 percent in cash now. DH still thinks it has a ways to go.

Eh, like i said, housekeeping. They want to keep things organized. Kinda sucks for me, as i normally just hang here. I think others just go by new topics, (or something like that), so the location is less of an issue.

When I first joined msn money forum a long time ago, I had some money problems but was confident about the future. I had a good job and big plans to get my savings in order. Now I have some money problems and am confident about the future again. I liked all the threads about asset allocation and the firecalc calculator. I liked the repetition of different versions of the same thread over and over.
I realize it is not the same forum and you can't go back. I was just being a bit reminescent and need to find a place to help me figure out what to do.

I stopped being able to keep track of which forum was which once they added the new threads button up at the top. Now I just read the new threads regardless of which forum they reside upon.
There is a thread right now on the stock market correction on the investing people forum, but I seldom understand everything they post. They do tend to talk a lot on the macro level but they also get into charting and other technical measures. There are also a lot of good threads on the meltdown in china and China's huge real estate and debt issues.
If I had a bunch of money in the bank right now I would probably pop some more into the market, but we are planning to dig a well next month so I will need all my cash to pay the contractor.

go to one of the investing boards Tenn mentioned and ask there.

I understand the rules and did not mean it as a criticism. I was just thinking about how it used to be and posted my thoughts. Sorry if it came out critical.
