So far $15K plus on vacation, I hope the house and everything else holds up for the rest of the year.

You are reminding me why I paid extra $$$ for my house. One of the only in town with town water, sewer and natural gas. Of course my water bill is obscene.

Feeling better about the $4K quote for the gas plumbing work we want done (gas stove, dryer, grill and fireplace)...which doesn't include the cost of buying a new stove. We're also still planning on adding a garage, which is probably going to be 25-30K, and we want to fix the floors upstairs so they're not so incredibly loud just walking on them--likely another 8-10K.
Luckily, we are masters of procrastination The gas work might get done in 2015; rest is unlikely.

All those expenses are making me faint a little bit and now I will probably be having nightmares. I need to up my house budget............
