So Carl got another promotion after he moved and accepted his current position? Wow.
2 promotions close together, awesome.....but being far away kind of sucks.......but it shows how much the company likes him
so the original position that caused the move in the first place was assistant store manager?
sorry, I guess I missed a few things

Carol You had a question about changing to DW'ss health insurance. With your change in job location/duties/....'MIGHT' be a qualifying event. Discuss w/her so she fully understands & can check w/her HR.

So kick her off my insurance then and she gets her own insurance from her job and I think the PPO plan we are looking at is $188/month for single ($456 for family :eek:). We will just have separate insurance next year.

Carl - how long have you been doing the separate apartment thing?
Also what was the original job that moved you to the area of the house you brought?

No, we don't walk away. But when we're holding on to something precious, we run.

Wow, I guess I missed a lot. How far away was the VT store?
Will the apartment let you move when you want with no fees?
Are the hours as assistant manager any better? Can you go back to that full time if you wanted (will the company take you back at that position)?
If you do the actuary thing, do you think you can find a job in the area of your house?

[/quote] Yes. There are a few major insurance HQs near him as well as some consulting firms that employ actuaries.
