After having lived through my late husband's never ending rounds of illness.... I hated it when people gave medical advice.
However, this is an AMAZING product out on the OTC market for open ulcers and wounds that do not heal. It is called Amerigel.
It's like $20 for a container of it, but it was the only thing that healed my late-DH's ulcers on his feet. And, it did it so fast that the infectious disease doctor asked Kaiser to do a study on it!
It's natural and made from an extract of a tree. It's kinda like aloe vera in texture and I swear that stuff is a miracle.
I have zero connection to their company, but it was one of those things that worked so well, when nothing else would, that I have to share it with others and urge them to at least give it a try.
He had open, weeping, large ulcers that took up the entire top of his feet. In two weeks, they were completely healed and did not return.

Willie's mom found an article about this stuff and sent it to us. I assumed it was complete BS, like everything else other people suggested. So, she sent us some to use. The ID doc said it couldn't hurt, try it if you want, whatever. Kinda rolled his eyes. Went back in 2 weeks with healed feet and he had an entirely different attitude and was amazed that his feet had healed. He said he didn't ever see them healing and assumed he would need amputations at some point. Doctors, by ADA BS are only allowed to prescribe and mostly advise "pharmaceutical" solutions to problems, not more natural ones. I swear I would pass this stuff out if I could. I also used it when my hysterectomy incision came open and I had a 4" open gash on my stomach that didn't want to heal. Swear by the stuff. COMPLETELY. amerigel.com/
