This kid lives next door, and he is precious. What 8yr old boy goes home and gets a bucket of sidewalk chalk and sits for an hour in our driveway with our 3yr old girl coloring pictures? He is such a sweetheart. And he really wants to win this vacation. Hes in 2nd place right now. This takes NO personal info. Actually it took the personal info from my facebook account. Its FB, the empire built on personal information, FB collects. It needed/wanted to track you in FB, otherwise it would have let an anonymous guest vote too. But it appears it is a FB community thing, so they are tracking interest & likely other things based on which FB users participate.
Slightly OT, which perhaps I'll write later, I finally created my first online vendor account for ordering. I prefer to check out as a guest in large part I don't want to be managing more login password combinations in my life than I really need. But when I sucked it up and created a PW for an account on Victoria's Secret, it showed me three transactions. My current order, a return, and an online order I did last year logged in as a guest. I get weekly to daily emails from them as part of their CC or something, so it took their sw less than a minute to pull up transactions from a year ago. Bought via guest check out, simply be referencing on my email address.
FWIW. YMMV. My car still needs rear coil springs. (TMI, but its 5AM.   )

F/B has privacy settings. It's all in how you manage your account as to what shows up on your page (or in emails), and what info is shared (or not).
VS is a retailer - I would assume they track your purchasing activity and account in order to advertise/send promotions via email.
I'm registered with a clothing retailer and have a special customer discount card through them - filling in my email address was part of the registration for receiving the discount card . I receive emails from them about once a month on their special deals or sales, etc.
If you think a page set up to gather votes to help out a kid is going to harvest your personal info for their own use, you're far too suspicious.
