On the morning news, they were talking about the fact that his DNA was found at the crime scene. Nice detective work!

He ordered a pizza and they got his DNA off the crust I believe. What kind of sick bastard tortures a 10 yr old?

The guy worked for American Iron Works and he was extorting the CEO. Very crazy. American Iron Works is the main competitor in the DC area for the company I work for, so we are following it closely at work.

The guy was either very stupid or completely fried on drugs.
Did he think that rich people, like Scrooge McDuck, have a giant pile of money in their special money room in their mansion, and he could just pull up in his car, point a gun at them, load up suitcases full of cash and leave?

Well, he pretty much did that didn't he? If I read the article right, he had to hold them overnight until an Admin person dropped off a briefcase with $40,000 the next morning. I have to think this guy expected a much bigger payout than $40,000. Probably thought they had a safe crammed with cash or gold plates or something. Didn't realize most people have their money tied up in investments, even rich people. They don't keep shoeboxes crammed with cash stashed around their house. Who knows what he thought, though, or if he even thought at all. He won't see the light of day again.

It would have been nice if someone at the bank or the other housekeeper realized something was seriously wrong and got the police involved while they were still alive.
I hope all four souls are at peace now and the surviving daughters get support to go on.
