The reintroduction of deep fat fryers and soda machines into public schools may top the agenda of Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller. But some teachers, nurses and parents don't appear to share his appetite for sugary drinks and french fries. The Texas Department of Agriculture received nearly 200 public comments in response to Miller's proposed repeal of a 10-year-old state policy that bans deep fat fryers and soda machines in public schools while limiting the time and place where junk food can be sold.
I guess they are going for the fattest state title, or at least fattest kids Enjoy the 'freedom fries' kids

Maybe this will get the ignorant so fat so early that they all die off (naturally) VERY young and have limited impact/votes in national races.

That's just absurd! Lord knows North American kids are nowhere near fat enough! Instead of a chicken in every pot, they're aiming for a mobility scooter for everyone. Take a gander at this. US lunches are all fat, sugar and carbs.
About 32 million children in the US eat cafeteria school lunches every day. As a nation with a childhood obesity epidemic, Sweetgreen—an organization that seeks to battle childhood obesity and promote healthy eating habits for children—decided to take a look at what these kids actually have for lunch at school. The organization also takes a look at the school lunches that children from around the world typically eat, to further examine where America falls in comparison.
