I saw this and decided to post it here because of EVT's thread about the 10 year old and Paraguay. Not sure what the study parameters are but there are things that are truly scary and also kind of awesome.
From the scary end, One in every 18 Somalian women are at a lifetime risk of maternal death, and 145 out of every 1,000 children born here do not make it past the age of 5. And cool side, Finland scores well on parameters such as risk of maternal death (1 in 15,100) and percentage of government seats held by women (42.5 percent).

Suffice it to say it ain't the USA.
Just looking around the world at healthcare and maternity policies puts us in the tank- add other family friendly policies in those European socialist hell holes and it isn't even close.
