Yes, I'm back early. We actually are almost done with school, except Math, but I was planning on staying out a few more weeks... BUT
I got back on a bit ago intending to post a 911 for advice. The situation has since resolved, so I'll change my post a bit.
I think I've said we've been looking for land or a house for about two years now in the nearest towns where we do most of our activities. Have had 1 good prospect which we lost to restrictions and a fast moving market. Had friends say they were going to subdivide which has not happened. We finally decide that maybe the universe is telling us we aren't meant to be in this area at all.
We had decided that we would continue to look until May, and if the perfect thing came on the market that we had been looking for all along, we would go for it, but if not we would plan on checking out other places this next winter.
So the perfect looking land came up on my New Listings search Sunday. Is this the Universe talking? Our Realtor friends said he'd show it to us Friday.
Then called today to say that they had an offer already and been made, better see it today. So we went. And went to dinner after to discuss as a family... BUT before we would decide to put in an offer, they accepted the offer they had. Is this the Universe talking?
I think we are stopping looking now. Not even waiting till May.
So, does the universe talk to you? Do you ask it questions? Do you understand what in the heck its trying to say to you?

No, I'm pretty much oblivious to everything. I'm also lazy. If something repeatedly isn't working out for whatever reason and it's not something life or death then I just let it go. ETA: Welcome back!

It does speak to me a little bit. Sometimes, I listen. I had been buying a lottery ticket for this new game, and had no desire to continue. Something told me to buy last Thursday and I would win, so I did. I whopping $3! It was a 50% gain, but...

The universe has talked to me several times and I've learned the hard way to not bang on closed doors. Keep your eyes open for opportunities but don't set anything in concrete.
The best way to give God a huge belly laugh is to make a 'permanent' plan.
The only thing constant in life is change.
Good luck.
ETA: dang, I sound like a philosopher.

Yes, I do believe the universe "speaks" to me.
If the timing or situation isn't right, I try really hard to not act on it. I trust that I know when the timing or situation is right. I'm a firm believer in trusting your gut.
I also do feel "led" or "compelled" to behave in certain ways.

Since you are close but keep missing out, it may mean you aren't moving fast enough or it may mean something else entirely.
Much of life is timing and twists of fate. I have a similar issue although I know ultimately I need to move on. I still deserve that crap FT job now anyway.

So, does the universe talk to you? Do you ask it questions? Do you understand what in the heck its trying to say to you? Generally, no, I don't understand what the universe is trying to tell me, but every so often something we never ever considered falls into our lap or hits us over the head to get our attention. I've learned to keep an open mind about things, reconsider my initial response. Examples: When I first met my now DH, I thought he was the goofiest guy I'd ever met (not in a good way). Couldn't imagine what my friend saw in him, but he was definitely on my not interested list. We've been married 25 years. When we were looking to buy a house, everything the realtor showed us in our price range was dinky, low ceilings, blah. As I was standing outside the latest house we'd toured (DH was still poking around but I'd immediately dismissed it) I began mentally ranking the other houses on the street, trying to pinpoint what we'd really like in a house. I was more drawn to the Victorian that had probably been divided into a double, rather than the single family homes we thought we wanted. As I pursued the thought, I began to consider buying something like that, with the intention of eventually returning it to a single family. Asked the realtor if that idea would fly - yep, we could do whatever we wanted after we bought it, AND if there were renters in place the rent they paid would count as income to us, effectively increasing our price range. The next morning, inspiration struck - one house picture had caught my eye previously, but I'd dismissed it because it was a 4 unit, we obviously didn't want that. Wait, after my paradigm shift, maybe we did; we decided to take a look at it! We've been here 20 years. DH's employer (15 years ago) went out of business. DH had been dreaming of going back to school to change fields, and they were all offered retraining assistance for things like plumbing, HVAC, etc. certification. He convinced them that getting his teaching certificate qualified, and they found some money to cover at least one year of grad school for him (I never believed they'd come through with it), and loans, and extended unemployment benefits while he was in school for the first full year. The timing was perfect - he had just enough time to get enrolled and start classes. He even qualified for some loan forgiveness after working in his school for five years. Who knew job loss could be a gift in disguise?

Yes, the universe def. speaks to me. Most of the time it is just in time however sometimes it can be just a tad too late.

I don't know if it's the universe or angels speaking but I keep seeing my bros. first name on license plates. The second time had two Us instead of one.
The universe spoke to my DHs niece and her DH in 2013 which prompted them ask me to move in with them. I declined so I don't know what that set in motion or what would be set in motion if I had.

I occasionally let a car make a choice for me. Once I was headed for work in the snow when my car spun around and pointed home. I overruled it and headed for the freeway were the cars were bumper to bumper not moving so I decided the car was right I would go home. Another time I was headed home from work, to go home I turned left to go work out I had to turn right, I worked out almost every night but I was tired and didn't want to. My car automatically got in the right turn lane so I went to work out like the car wanted.

I'm deaf. If the Universe wants to speak to me, it's going to have to yell. Loudly. There was a time when everything in my life was falling apart. I started saying "God, obviously you're trying to tell me something. I'm listening! You don't have to keep throwing bricks at me to get my attention" I felt like if every area of my life was suddenly screwed up, there HAD to be a reason. when I started trying to figure out what my life was trying to teach me, strange things started happening, not like miracles, but more like I would talk about something that was on my mind one day and a couple days later, something positive and relevant to what I'd just spoken about would pop up from some random place. Or I started to see that the answers and wisdom I was seeking had been all around me and staring me in my face all along, but I hadnt recognized any of it because I hadnt been looking for it and pondering the right questions. Or I'd just get what I called epiphanies (which may or may not be the right word) out of the blue. I'd been having the same recurring dreams for as long as I could remember and had picked up a few new ones a few years prior. The ones I'd had all my life had different versions of the same theme.... fear. Then one night, in my dream, I didn't run or hide, I killed it (that particular time it was a grizzly bear lol) because I was protecting a baby I was holding. I haven't had any of the recurring dreams since that night, nor I have I had any new ones. That stage of my life made me firmly believe that when the student is ready, the master appears. It was a spiritual journey, not a religious one. And it's been the only time in my life so far that those kinds of strange things happened to me. I lived it, and it still sounds weird, even to me, when I talk about it. And welts, I've seen some posts that make me feel like I need to say that this is in no way a poke at you. I'm just sharing something that your post reminded me of.

I firmly believe that if you know what you want and are willing to do the work to get it the universe will conspire to give it to you. Sometimes it takes a bit of time to get all the ducks lined up properly but it happens.

I'm deaf. If the Universe wants to speak to me, it's going to have to yell. Loudly. Same here. And add some flashing lights to get my attention like my father used to do. Yelling doesn't always work. Just ask everyone who knows me.

If the universe is speaking to me I think it's doing it in Chinese. It is kind enough to drop things in my lap as needed though. Transmission problems? Here's the ex's tax refund just in time! (Yeah, yeah, I'm a horrible YMr right now, though that one was several years ago.)

I generally try to avoid listening to the voices in my head. They're really annoying. Especially the one that keeps telling me to save France.

I'm pretty sure the universe is telling me to go hide under the covers with a heating pad, remote and some wine. And stay there the rest of the year.

Unfortunately yes. It drives DH nuts. Once something becomes too hard and starts to go wrong, I always say the universe doesn't want me to do this. "The Universe" was mentioned a lot during our cross country move. Dh has the philosophy that anything worth having takes a lot of work and if you aren't will to push through the hurdles, you don't deserve it.
Depending on the outcome, we decide who was right. The move is still up in the air.
