Do you have any history of heart issues? You were working hard in your yard yesterday too, if I remember correctly.
I have a heart condition - and some of the symptoms you described/experienced, would have scared me enough to seek immediate medical attention.
The fact you couldn't even drag yourself up[ off the floor or stand for a long time also isn't good.
Was it hot out when you were working in the yard yesterday? And did you over-exert yourself?

Now I'm getting really cold again, had DD turn on my little heater in the bathroom, its raining out and cool today high 50's, but is 70 in here, feels like an icebox to me though. It does sound like food poisoning, a bit, doesn't it? It could also be a virus, hon. When your doc draws blood for the lab tests, have her check your H. pylori levels, just in case.

I am sorry this happened to you. What did you have last Sunday when you were sick? This Sunday orange juice and coffee. What did you have the other days you were sick?
I don't know what kind of coffee pot you have but you might clean it.
You could be allergic to coffee or orange juice.
Yesterday you worked hard in the yard. Overexertion and possibly heat exhaustion.
The detectives are on it.
Do you have well water?
Is this recurring on a regular schedule and what happened or what did you eat before? The day before.
Sterilize your toothbrush and get different toothpaste.
This is how I found my lactose sensitivity.

I have a heart problem and the last time things went wrong it took me only 5 minutes to realize I was in serious trouble and made the call to 911.
Stop fooling around, call your MIL tell her to get to your house to stay with DD, then call 911 and get yourself to the hospital. You may very well be having a heart attack.

I'm thinking food poisoning. I had a serious bout eating out with a group of friends some years back. Then, one of my friends had a relapse 2-3 weeks later, which her doctor told her is totally possible. (Have the doc test you for Norwalk virus.)
If food poisoning is ruled out, I agree with getting a thorough heart exam.

I know you can get Norwalk virus from fresh produce. (Basically, it's from an infected person not washing their hands, & passing it on to other people.) We contacted the health dept. here, as so many of us fell ill, & medical tests confirmed Norwalk virus. It was the one time I was so sick that dying seemed like a great option. (Wouldn't wish that stuff on my worst enemy.)
One other possibility is influenza is still going around here. Have you been around anyone recently who was ill?
Wishing you a speedy recovery, whatever it is!

No it wasn't hot out. I also kept taking breaks and ate every hour to two hours so I did fine. Only worked about 4 to 5 hours and quit. I didn't do half of what I intended to do.
I have never had heart issues, but I'm starting to agree. From reading some of the stuff about a heart attack, it sounds like some of those could be attributed to that.
If it happens again I'm going to call 911 and have them take me to the hospital. Something is very wrong here, at one point I thought I was going to pass out.
MIL came in during this and it scared her. I know I must have been white as a sheet even she who does not want to call a doctor thought we should call an ambulance. But by the time she was here I was coming out of it a bit.
I never knew but my one remaining aunt had told me some years ago that heart problems ran in my dads family. I never knew that so possible.
My blood pressure always ran low, hubby used to wonder if that's why I got worn out easier. The other day it was 168 over 60 I believe, but no doctors seem to be concerned, I have seen it a lot lower then that.
I need to take my temp and blood pressure, will dig out my cuff and thermometer.
It happens again, I'm definitely letting them take me in to the ER, but wondering if they should transport to the next biggest city and not here. My primary care doc is there. 168 over 60? Are you sure? Sounds like it could be Isolated Systolic Hypertension, which could be indicative of cardiac issues. Have it checked out.

I'm not sure what conditions you might have, Pat. Are you hyperthyroid? That can cause a high systolic pressure and a lower diastolic pressure. Also, what had you been doing prior to taking that pressure, how did you take the pressure, and what were you doing when you took the pressure? If it was taken at the doctor's office, does going to the doctor cause you anxiety, either because of "white coat fever" or because the wait or inconvenience gets to you? Those are things that can cause a rise in systolic pressure (the upper number).

I've had this happen before. It is the pharmacists responsibility to tell you if they changed anything on your prescription. They almost killed my son by giving us a different dosage and not explaining how much to take.

Pat....you've been under an incredible amount of stress and stress can cause all kinds of very real illnesses. I do know that when I'm very stressed, the first place it manifests itself is in my tummy. Please go have yourself checked out. I hope it's a simple as a medication problem, but please explore all options. Stress can absolutely wreak havoc on your body.

This happened to a neighbor lady years ago. I had to rush her to the emergency room. Everything checked out fine for her. Turned out they had her taking her hormone pills twice a day instead of once a day in error. Also check your dosage amounts when picking up your Rx.
I hope it's nothing serious and that you feel better soon!

As if you aren't run into the ground already! You're doing it ALL on your own - not just taking care of DD, but also your vehicles, large yard and garden work AND those rental properties you you seem always be having to do maintenance/upkeep on.
When is your DH finally going to retire & stay home permanently to start taking care of some of these things himself? It's not like you don't already have enough to do.
It's time for him to step up to the plate instead of you constantly dealing with it all on your own. You're going to work yourself into a grave - literally!
Are those rentals really necessary?? You could sell them and be done with that burden.
Then the three of you could settle into a more relaxed and paced lifestyle - and do the traveling as a family together for once instead of just you and DD.

My dad was like that. The purpose of the whole trip was to get from Point A to Point B, regardless of any marvels you'd encounter on the way. No stopping.

I think the overdose of thyroid meds is [/p] doing a lot of this, I know for sure I've been doing it since 3/9, maybe before that. So tomorrow starting the correct dose. I'm sure it will take awhile to adjust. [/quote] this just jumped out at me.....meds are dosed by patient weight, and you've been losing steadily. have you had your doses adjusted so far? sent from my electronic distraction

My dad was like that. The purpose of the whole trip was to get from Point A to Point B, regardless of any marvels you'd encounter on the way. No stopping. Drive for 18 hours straight stopping for gas only, and if you were lucky a 90 second pee break alongside the road every few hours. Arrive at designated landmark...ignoring any potential interesting unscheduled landmarks. Get out of car and acknowledge landmark for no more than 5 minutes. Make your 18 hour return trip in the same manner. Such wonderful memories.

It's incremented in small dosages until the desired effect is achieved.

Sounds like several of us had dads whose focus was on the goal and don't take any side-trips!

Listeria? Check out Mayo Clinic site. Also all Bb products recalled. Sometimes it takes a while for symptoms to appear. I would post link but on a learning curve on iPad. And pic in the shop. Just a thought about the listeria for what's worth that's Blue Bell

Do you have anything like a Centre de Jour (Day Center) there? Your DD can perhaps go several times a week, and provide you some respite. They have structured activities and it includes lunch. A MediCar usually picks up the clients and drives them home later. It's about $8 a day here, and includes the lunch and transportation.

Every bit of it sounds like hyperthyroid to me . Sometimes the differences in sythroid or levothyroxin dosage colors aren't real obvious especially if you haven't been told. A blue, a lighter blue. etc. I hope you hear back from the Dr. today and if you have been accidentally overdosing you should start to feel better pretty quickly.

Pat I am glad you checked in and are feeling better. My doctor said it usually takes about 2 weeks before your Thyroid meds settle down when making a change.
