I've lost 60lb since June, 1st. I was told when you lose weight you get lots of energy. I Used to be able to sleep 24/7. I still can do this and if I could I would.
So what have I done wrong? Was it worth to loose Da Kabooze for sleeping on it?

Have you had any blood work done lately? Some vitamin/mineral deficiencies can make you feel less than energetic.
How stressed are you? Stress can make you feel like you don't have much energy too. And stress can make a person want to sleep a lot also.
Of course I'm not a doctor. Maybe you should talk to your doctor about it.

Have you had any blood work done lately? Some vitamin/mineral deficiencies can make you feel less than energetic. How stressed are you? Stress can make you feel like you don't have much energy too. And stress can make a person want to sleep a lot also. Of course I'm not a doctor. Maybe you should talk to your doctor about it. Blood done, all good. Doctor I have has no interest about my energy. And I am not going to be looking for another one. maybe I should google it? Yeah, enough stress but I had been like this sleepy since I remember myself.

Depends what they tested. Vit D and b12 aren't routinely tested but both have a big hand in energy.

If you diet the weight off, it doesn't really change your general fitness level, so you probably won't feel more energetic. If the weight loss is the result of increased exercise, which should result in improved fitness, a person might feel more energetic. It also depends, as others have said, on stress level, whether you are suffering from massive sleep deficiency, or if you have something going on that prevents you from getting good quality sleep. Could also be a function of your expectations. If you used to struggle to walk down the block, but you can walk a mile without difficulty, I'd call that pretty great progress.

When I found out I had a vitamin D deificiency, being tired all the time was one of the things I was complaining about, so maybe that's why my doctor included D and B vitamins in the tests.

Thanks IIRC, vitamin D is sold in two forms, D2 and D3. I think one is more easily absorbed or efficiently used by your body. Might be worth you checking into before you just grab something off the shelf. ETA: You could also try spending more time in the sun to help maintain vitamin D levels. You can still take the supplements to address the current deficiency, but try to make getting some sunshine a part of your life too, if it isn't already.

Find something, even if it's walking. Losing weight is great, but keeping it off is another matter. And exercise isn't just about losing weight and keeping it off. It's about muscle strength and fitness, bone health (what good is a perfect kabooze if you fall and fracture your bones?), lowering your cholesterol, tightening your skin, getting better sleep (not more of it, just better quality of sleep). Are you eating enough or just starving the weight off? You probably also need iron in your diet. Or you could just take a supplement but eating a nice steak or burger with a large spinach salad (or cooked) would probably do you wonders.

I had absolutely no energy at all a year or so ago and it was a struggle to drag myself out of bed every morning (more so than usual!) A friend got some bloodwork done and was told that she was dangerously low on iron and that was probably the cause of her lack of energy. It dawned on me that it was likely I had the same problem. I hadn't been eating red meat at all and had gotten sick of spinach so hadn't really been getting much iron in my diet. I started taking supplements and adjusted my eating habits and I got my energy back. I went off the supplements and now just take a multivitamin and if I'm not eating many iron-rich foods I'll make sure I have some spinach or kale smoothies throughout the week.

Same here, found out I am anemic and started taking iron supplements. It took almost a year but now my hemoglobin levels are normal and I feel pretty good.

I tend to be borederline anemic all the time and can tell when Im really low on iron when Im dragging. I take a Flintstones vitamin as every other one Ive tried tears up my stomach.
Too many carbs and sugar are posion for me as well...a piece of cake and Im asleep within 10 minutes and feel like crap for hours.

I am not starving myself, I just refused potatoes and bread for 2 month in June and I am pretty sure my stomach shrank and body was happy about it. So now I can eat anything but portions are smaller. Much smaller. Like I can eat cheesesteak or hoagie but only half of it and no French fries whatsoever. Or pizza but 2 slices instead of well...a whole pie!
I love spinach and do eat red meat. Not much though.
My question was if I had no energy before and thought it is due to overweigh fact and NOW when I am an almost a model basically - why don't I see any changes? Except ofcourse I can move around without hams burning like heck.

Maybe some people feel more energetic when they lose weight because they lose weight by changing their eating habits AND getting more exercise. Exercising regularly by itself is suppose to help you feel more energetic overall.
Or it could be something in your diet. Some foods make certain people sluggish. like whoami with carbs and sugar.
You said you already know your vitamin D levels are low. Your lack of energy could be just because of that.

Another thing to look at are thyroid levels. Even though low is associated with weight gain, it is also associated with the utter fatigue you describe.

They put you on a C-Pap machine if you have sleep apnea...at least that's what they did with my ex. He was horrible. He'd fall asleep at work and behind the wheel. I was so worried about him driving our son to his parents 80 miles away after our divorce. When we were married he always let me drive. Finally he went in for a sleep study and discovered he had apnea and has been using the machine for about 8 years now. Totally changed his energy level.

A) My BIL had sleep apnea. The C-Pap machine changed his life. He is a totally different person. But, his snoring was terrible (which is a symptom.) Like - one night he slept here, and I thought our neighbors were going to complain. Holy smokes - it was crazy.
B) My doctor said that lack of energy is because I'm over 40 now. Assholes.
C) Have you tried overloading yourself on caffeine? Like Rock Star or Monster? I'm not suggesting that as a solution - just wondering if you and I are in the same boat. Even just a few years ago I could buzz if I drank too much caffeine, but no matter what, I can't get that anymore. I'm wondering if that is all related.

It sucks while you are building your fitness, but once you are fitter, the exercise itself might not be super fun, but the feeling afterwards is terrific. Plus, you get all the health benefits. Losing weight makes you look better, exercise makes you feel better, or at least that has been my experience.

I am not overweight but I do keep track of what I eat. I have a general rule of no more than 30 carbs per meal and no more than 100 per day. For me, my carb intake is more important than calories because that is what makes me feel awful. I avoid things like pasta, potatoes etc, but if I eat them its only a bite. I buy atkins "treats" for my chocolate fix and only have a max of 1 per day. The peanut butter cups are better than Reeses IMO. I used to be the girl who could eat garbage all day and not gain an ounce. Now that Im in my late 40s, its no where near as easy as it used to be but by watching what I eat and not going overboard on the stuff I know doesnt work for me, I am able to maintain both my weight and energy levels.

Will look into apnea. I think I have one, I snore...
Drinking spring water or carbonated plain only. No tea, no coffee. Or decaf if I do. Cream only no sugar.
Cooking from scratch daily and I do not mean opening box and heat it up
No sweets whatsoever.
Got to think sleep apnea...

I have lost a lot of weight recently.....not because I wanted to (although its nice to fit in to my clothes better)... but because I got food poisoning.
My skin is bad and my hair is like straw. It just goes to show what happens when you don't get proper nutrients for a few weeks. I think weight loss has to be carefully done so that you don't lose condition
