I know of 3 people that did it and took part in a 5k race afterwards. They were all happy with the progress...
I started it in 2012 right before moving to MA and had to stop midway. During that time I will admit that I had made progress using their approach.
It wasn't start running from day 1, it helped me build my endurance, stride and speed. And the goals were achievable and realistic.

I've done it a couple of different times over the years. It's definitely a good program to ease into running without hurting yourself.
I never end up sticking with it, because ultimately I don't really like running. I found I much prefer cycling, so I do that instead.

Anyone ever do it? How did it go? Do what? I do a lot of things that are great, and some not so great.

I did, but I didn't run it lol. I'm doing another one Thursday and don't plan to run at this time either. Neither is a serious one though.

I've done the couch to half-marathon program. Yes, there really is one. I like the "couch to..." programs because they are gradual.

I did it back in 2012 - that is how I got into running.
It is a decent program, but the key is remembering that you can repeat weeks. If you can't run for those 5 or 8 minutes straight in the later weeks, just repeat that week until you get it down.
Also - if you do it on a treadmill (I did), don't start running at too high of a speed. 6.0 (10 minute/mile) was too high for me on the treadmill when I can easily do it outside.
Also - remember it is really jogging for most of us, not running! No need to act like you're fleeing from zombies!
It really jumpstarted me into running. It got me to running 3 miles, then I did a little out of order - 10k, 5k, 15k, 7k, half marathon, marathon - in the span of a year.

Steph. I was an avid runner until 5 years ago. Going out for a 4 - 6 mile run was nothing. I need motivation to get back. I'm going to look into this program.

I started couch to 5k a few years ago but I'm terrible with sticking to any sort of training plan, so I just stuck with walk/run intervals and just listened to my body. Pretty much my own informal version of it. Couch to 5k has worked great for a lot of people.

I started it a few years back, then tripped over my dog, hurt my ankle and then never went back to it.
I have been thinking about getting back into it lately.
