@familycfo - are you anywhere near the mess that's going on right now?

DAMN - now I am getting banner ads for Mariner tickets. Yeah, like I am going to spend my hard earned dollars to go watch them kick a baseball around. LOL. You know that is not a valid excuse to stop posting here.

@familycfo - are you anywhere near the mess that's going on right now? Thankfully, I do not live or work anywhere near there. However, we do have tickets for an O's game this weekend. We will not be going now...if they even are able to play.

You know that is not a valid excuse to stop posting here. I know, but it will alter my behavior. For example, I almost Googled how many errors the Mariners had committed this season before typing about them kicking the baseball around but stopped when I realized I would be just refreshing the idea I cared.

The Mariners have committed 16 errors this season. However, Nelson Cruz has nine homers and is batting .329! You're welcome.
Well, I'm certainly not traveling to Tropicana Field this weekend for the game. What a bummer. The O's are playing in a closed stadium today. I wonder if they will still do walk up music.

I guess you will have to watch on MASN. They did a pretty good job I thought. SNL did a spoof on it and it just wasn't that funny. Plus, they made Manny Machado a black dude. (Okay, that part cracked me up. They could have at least picked one of our black players for that bit. Lame.).
What is up with the Yankees in first place? They are not supposed to be, darn it!

Back in last place after a whipping by the Yankees.
I can't believe there isn't one Yankee fan around who would like to rub it in.

The St. Louis Cardinals front office officials are being investigated by the FBI and Justice Department prosecutors for hacking into the Houston Astros internal networks to learn about trades, proprietary statistics and scouting reports. Wow.
The AL East had been looking really bad, but it seems to have perked up. Except for Boston. Malarky, cael, chiver78 what is going on? Do you think anyone will be fired?

Red Sox suck this year. They just suck. No chemistry maybe?
It's okay though, we have a long history of suckdom. Hope we aren't in for another 86 year drought.
And we've been known to turn an entire season around after the All Star break.
I'm not sure that firing the manager really helps. Although I heard a blip about maybe Varitek as the next manager.
Could make things interesting.
So not fun to watch on TV this year. I got great seats behind home plate a couple of weeks ago and gave them to DD and her friend. At least Fenway is still fun.

I don't really think the manager's the problem here. what is? who knows. Farrell is a very well-respected guy in the baseball world. it's not like the year we had Bobby Valentine and the team imploded.
I would love to see Varitek back in the dugout. I hadn't heard that rumor though....where did you catch that?

I haven't really been following... I turned it on yesterday briefly, saw a score of losing 11-2 and turned it off. Too bad, maybe the all-star break will put some wind back in their sails.

The Red Sox are not out of it in my opinion. The East is up for grabs it seems unless some team can get their act together enough to pull away from the crowd (yes, I'm talking to you O's!).

Wow! I've been away for a long time.
Let's see- my team just did a full on collapse. No playoffs this year. Toronto just overtook the Yankees for first place. I'm really surprised that A-Roid lasted this long. He is carrying the team. I'm sure he is clean though.
billisonboard, so I was wrong about the Mariners. They were total underachievers, though Nelson Cruz did his job. I still want him back!
Nationals also blew it and I thought they would be in the playoffs for sure this season. Wrong again.
I was also incorrect about the Red Sox, they are still horrible. Good thing I'm not a betting woman!
