Okay to be honest, I am only mildly interested in baseball during times of boredom in my life, be they short term or longer. I saw this thread and thought, "Oh, baseball season opened?" Did two seconds of research on when and how my local team was doing so far, and typed a flippant comment based on the Mariners long history of always falling short.

Sorta the same here. I don't keep up with baseball like football but check out the A's standings and will "watch at" a game if it happens to be on TV - which is rare in my area. And the A's really pissed me off last year with the stupid trades that friggin backfired!! But I still luv em...

Excited for Red Sox home opener! (even though I won't be able to watch most of it) Stupid/lucky DH is working a job in Boston, some corporate opening day party where the staff were all asked to wear RS stuff.. probably a fun day to be in the city, boo for me stuck up in the burbs.

Disappointed at our fall to the NYY last night but I think we're still on a good pitch so far! (pun so intended. )

It was not just your home opener but the season opener. So lots of coverage. I saw it all over the web. MSN and ESPN had it.

 But in the interest of full disclosure, I'm in St. Louis. So I would have heard about it anyway.

Only people from Boston believe that Ortiz isn't using. It's okay to be a homer.  Even if he isn't, his rage and ego are out of control. He is not bigger than the game.

A four game losing streak and now in last place in the AL East.  Worst part is that the O's deserve to be there because they are playing like poop!

On another note, the Mets are kicking butt! They meet up with the Yankees this weekend. I know a lot of Yankee fans that hate the Mets so.....go Mets!

The Royals got into yet another fight! A little success went straight to their heads.
