But she has to share that day, sometimes with total strangers, but often with inconsiderate friends and family who have babies or get married on HER day. Actually, my office manager gave me an early birthday present this year. She's taking the day off on my birthday this year. That's considerate of her. Heck, it's a gift!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I also don't like the Chain letter type things. No, I don't want to post whatever it is to 10 friends, blah, blah. I delete those. You can also "hide" any posts on FB you don't want on your page. Just click on the "V" symbol (like a down-pointing arrow) in the top right corner of any post, and then choose either "I don't Want to see This Post", "Hide all from (Sender's name)", or "Hide all From (site for particular video/charity/cause)"
I usually just click "I Don't want to See this" and that post disappears from my page. It takes a couple of seconds to make that post go poof.

Then why are you complaining about all the "cause of the day" posts, if you already know how to use Facebook & how to hide them?

The ones that I absolutely abhor are the "I just found out I'm pregnant!!" or "I used my boobs to get out of a ticket today" status messages. When you 'like' or comment, they then send you a message about how it is just a joke, but now you have to choose one of several messages to post to your status, and it is all for XYZ cause awareness. I view it as abuse of social media, AND it annoys me at whatever cause they are trying to champion.

What's really annoying about it, is that they're taking the focus off of REAL causes with their stupidity.
When I see posts or messages to support Breast Cancer Awareness, or Prostate Cancer Awareness (or any other form of Cancer), or Heart Disease, or other legitimate/serious causes, it's something worth my time reading and possibly getting on board with.
People using sites such as "Go Fund Me" to garner money to pay for their wedding or boob job or other bullshit ticks me off.
