An ancient concoction for eye infections seems to really work. The potion, which contains cattle bile, kills the "superbug" methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus or MRSA, researchers at Britain's University of Nottingham report. In fact, it worked better than the current gold standard for MRSA infections of the flesh, the antibiotic vancomycin, an expert at Texas Tech University found. Now researchers are working to see just what's in the salve that kills germs so effectively. REST OF ARTICLE HERE

What a wonderful thing for both the gentleman whose liver was trashed and the young girl who was able to save his life while saving her own! I've seen MSUD twice. Once in a newborn and once in a young girl in her twenties. It's great to know they can use those livers to save others! I was fascinated by the thought that medieval medicine could prove to be the answer to things like MRSA, which is a real bugaboo to modern medicine. So much to learn, and then to realize some of it has already been learned and we've but forgotten.

Saw it as well- some of our ancestors were onto something.
Even more impressive are some of the recent ideas on curing cancer- that are also old.
One thing that amazes me is the vast potential of the natural world out there that we have not sufficiently examined- no telling how many miracle cures lie there waiting to be discovered.
