It's been in rumors for a while, and they released something official today! I am really encouraged by the fact that Chris Carter says he considers it as they've been in a "13 year commercial break" - and doesn't acknowledge the second awful movie that came out 6 or 7 years ago.
SERIOUSLY still freaking out!!

I loved The X-Files and just realized I never watched the final season (or maybe that last 2 seasons) of the show. I need to go back and watch the final season on Netflix. Glad they are bringing it back as a mini-series.

I am actually a really bad fan because I only watched maybe half of the last season... I was so devastatingly disillusioned with the direction they took and I think it had jumped the shark by then, sadly. I was so upset by it since the show was such a huge obsession for so long for me in high school. I should really watch the last 2 seasons to clarify where they left things. I started watching thru the series again in the fall but am only in season 2.... where the good stuff really gets going!

I'm not sure when I stopped watching. It was a great show, and then it wasn't so great anymore. I don't know if they just ran out of material or if my interest waned. I will be tuning in to the new ones when they air.

I'm looking forward to the new series though! |
