I'm not a huge baseball fan or know a lot about things, but these are my thoughts. Pete Rose bet on baseball, true. But he never bet against his own team (some have claimed evidence, but it has never been made public) and never tried to throw games. He didn't try to change the outcome of any game. There are dozens of baseball players accused and found guilty of using performance-enhancing drugs. Their use of these drugs changes their performances, which changes the outcome of games. I don't understand why Pete is banned, but steroid users are not.  |

I agree with Steph. He didn't bet on his games or throw/influence any. By today's standards he wouldn't be banned.

I think that he should be allowed "into" the Hall of Fame, just not as an honored member. |
