I really want to see how this goes down- I predict the usual silence on the issue.

A North Carolina man was arrested Saturday and charged with weapons possession after he shot and wounded two intruders who broke into his home and announced a robbery, North Carolina police said.
Harold Williams, 42, was being held on a weapons possession charge following the shooting of two would-be robbers who entered Williams' Fayetteville home. Cops say Williams is a convicted felon who should not have been in possession of a gun.
So do we allow convicted felons to have guns? The Fox commenters seem to solidly be behind the second amendment allowing ex-felons to own guns- I assume even if they were jailed for shooting people. Wonder if the feel they should have voting rights restored as well

The right to be secure in your own home, So if you are a convicted felon you would not have the right to be secure in your home, Right?
By the way you can have voting rights restored, at least here in AZ.

Do you oppose felons getting some of their rights back after serving their sentence?

I am against the right to carry a concealed weapon to a convicted fellon. However, in his house, for his defense there is no question: he has the right to defend himself, he is the king of his domain, period!
And yes, if he served the sentence and got out, he/she should have the right to vote. Otherwise, we would completely marginalize and stigmatize them for a mistake in their past.
