There is always an enemy- and sorry to say that is the meat and potatoes of right wing membership. Always be hating
My shitty life is the fault of the : (Insert your most hated group here).
Illegal aliens, Muslims, Liberals, Obaaaama, Iranians, Palenstinians, etc.
"I make minimum wage in a shithole job because of goddamn wetbacks- not because my right wing governor turned my state into a 'right to work for minimum wage state."
Hear that Bubba- when your stupid ass dies young of black lung- think of what a life improvement you have made for the folks that used you as a fucking tool.
Double that on war- sure there are a few politicians that send their kid to war- but in general war profits a select group- and that group wants Iran. So there is my prediction.

Obama is at least trying while the GOP chicken hawks in congress are kneecapping him.
Like he said- it is a strange alliance- our GOP and the Iran hardliners.
America has a choice- so vote wisely. If you like war vote for Bush in 2016 and we will be in Iran by mid-term.

Ironic statement considering how many posts on these boards lambast republicans being at fault for something, or the 1%, or Wall Street, etc, etc.
I believe that's why a pot always comes with a kettle of the same color

So, how many people here think Venezuela is a threat rather than ISIS or a nuclear bomb armed Iran to the USA?

If that were true, our border with Mexico would be shut tight, and all travel coming into the country would be legal, and reasonably safe.

Iran currently has no known atomic bomb let alone a missile to launch and reach the U.S. Iran is not stupid: launch one and 20 are headed for them. As far as the general public knows, there are no known ISIS terrorist groups in the U.S. There may be several lone wolves. There are around 200,000 plus Venezuelan nationals living in the U.S. with over 50% of them living in south Florida. It is possible a number of them could be terrorists cells living among other Venezuelans in the 'Little Caracas' area of Miami.

Threat to the USA? Our fucking smug ass attitudes and delusions of grandeur are the real threat.

I have a Venezuelan National family living down the street from me, six houses down from me. Nice family. Now I have to worry they are terrorist plants. Should I worry about my Indian Hindu doctor that lives two doors down too? There is a Spanish American family on the next block. Now I wonder if they are illegals. On second thought, they can't be illegals. Third generation family.

It's regarding the repression of civil liberties and human rights within Venezuela. the jerk president could still cause trouble in South Florida.

On second thought, they can't be illegals. Third generation family. I have a black friend too My response to Tennesser was for the Venezuelan terrorists that are roaming our country. He did not mention Somalian terror cells the country has allowed to come in, so I did not mention any black neighbors of mine. My question is, is your black friend a neighbor, or just a "friend"? Just so you know, my immediate neighborhood, say three blocks in any direction, probably does not have a black family in it. I cannot verify the fact either way with certainy. I do not keep a list, and our area has cul de sacs, so I do not really travel all the streets checking ethinicity. That is not to say there are not black people living here. They are simply not a family unit, per se. If you consider a married couple a family, then we do. Adoptions, married couples, with no children, but no families. This begs the question, is a married couple without children a family? I do not want to mislabel anyone. I only responded to your post because of your sarcasm.

Would we say a married couple who recently lost their only child, a 10-year-old to cancer, is no longer a family? Would we say two unmarried adults, regardless of gender composition, in a comitted relationship, and each adult bringing in children from previous relationships into their home, not a family? Would we say a legally married same-sex couple with an adopted child is a family? Would we say no family lives in a home occupied by an elderly couple whose children grew up there but moved out on theor own a long time ago? Would we tell the adults in any of the above scenarios they are not a family?

That was why I asked.

Number 2 No judgment here-just curious how others see it. Back to example #2: if the unmarried couple married, and again each brought children from former mariages or relationships into the house, would they then be considered a family? Or another example: an unmarried couple living together and conceived two children with each other. Are they a family? Or is it people must be legally married to be considered a family?
