I think it hit me. Tomorrow is my last day in my house. It is the last day in Missouri. I'm feeling like I want to throw up. That may be because we got the inspection on our new house. There is one problem that has to be fixed. We haven't talked to the real estate agent yet about how to proceed. Tomorrow is going to be crazy. I'm not ready to go. It is also DH's 50th birthday.
Oh..I have a broken shampoo bottle and a whole bottle of shampoo. How am I suppose to transport that?

Are you packing any boxes yourself? If so, stick the shampoo bottles in ziplock bags and pack them in oone of those boxes. Works in a suitcase in an airplane -> it should work in an overland move. I've had some leaks of bottles on air flights but the plastic bags kept them contained.

Remind yourself that you're moving to a better place.
Breathe!
How much is the shampoo? I'd likely toss it and buy new when I got there. Otherwise it's a trip to the pharmacy to buy a container. Your time IS valuable.

Right there with you sista. My brain tried to convince me last night that this is all a huge mistake and what the hell was I thinking. And this morning I started to consider and concluded that I made these decisions for good and well-considered reasons (as did you). You'll get there and it'll be worth it. Bon voyage! (And happy birthday muttley's DH!)

The movers probably won't be able to get the moving van up the driveway, but they have a plan and I'm not paying for it. The company is paying for temporary housing. So the fixes to our new house if they take a while aren't a big deal. I did screw up the withdrawal of half of our down payment funds. But we can make up the difference from savings if I can't withdraw any more from my ROTH or I can probably borrow it from my parents if need be. I withdrew the funds for our deposit and rent fro the interim occupancy and when I got done, Vanguard told me that I can't withdraw or contribute online or by phone for the next 2 months.

(((Hugs))) to Mutt and Lurkyloo! I can tell you that every single time I've felt that way it ended up being the best decisions of my life. Work related and new house and new condo related. The sicker and more worried I was the happier I ended up being. Or maybe that was just relief. Re: The Shampoo No reason to waste perfectly good shampoo.

Muttley, take a deep breath, everything will work out. Just keep putting one foot in front of the other.

I have so many thoughts running through my head, but can't form a coherent thought.

Aww, muttley, everything's going to be fine, hon! I think everybody feels this way when there are big changes in their lives. Just breathe. It's gonna be okay. You've made good decisions and they'll pay off well.
Happy birdy two ewes to your DH!

Yeah, I don't really have anything to do. I mean I do, but I don't. It might be easier if I did have something to do right now. But other than go to sleep, I really don't have anything to do.

I have any number of chores I'm happy to share Did you have any hobbies before the kiddos arrived? Now might be a good time to revisit one or more of them--it helps to keep busy.

This is what I went through when we moved and that was 33 y.a. DH won't move me again because I did so poorly adjusting.
Best wishes. You will get through this.
A little late for you. The easiest way is to slowly move into the new house, a few boxes at a time. A few nights at a time. Then you get oriented to the place.

The kids and I made it my parents a-ok. Although I nearly duck-taped DS to his car seat and hia mouth shut. But I restrained myself (mainly because I didn't want to stop AGAIN). The kids are getting spoiled today. DH supervised the movers. He says the house is empty. The movera rented a uhaul and left the semi trailer at the truck stop, then shuttled our stuff back and forth with theuhaul. I'm at a conference. It is pretty enjoyable.

Well I still don't have internet besides my phone. DH hasn't gotten around to it in the last 2 weeks and I am not willing to do personal stuff on my work computer. Well I send an email to my mom and a quick mapmyrun this morning. Anyway, things are going well. The house is good. It needs some TLC. hasn't been lived in longer than we thought. Like 6 years from what the neighbors said. It needs storage. But the space itself rocks. Work is good. A little slow trying to dig my way through an engineering budget that is bigger than most construction costs at my old job. I think I'm impressing the guys at the local office. Since they are way high up in the organization, it looks good for me. My actual manager is back at corporate. She's my age and we clicked pretty well. Having her 65 miles away will lead to some problems, but we'll work through it. It is a new world working for a big company, but they are really focused on integrity and quality. I have company how to manuals coming out my rear. Let see closing we locked in our rate at 3.5%. No points I still need to transfer funds around and not having home internet has me procrastinating. As far as we know everything is on track in Missouri. Tuesday is payday and I will feel like I can finally breathe financially. I can't imagine if we had to actually pay for our move. I'm still waiting on reimbursement which will help a lot.

MO closing is the 20th and IA closing is 21st. As for my brother, he lives 3 hrs away. I got to have supper with him and his family the night before I came to Iowa. It did reinforce why I did not move THAT close to him. We went out to a place they go often and the owner looked at me and asked my brother if I was his sister. . Oh lord. My mom is anxiously waiting to get together again and my sister is too.
