I wonder billions of dollars have been seized for innocent people over the years by using these type of laws by both IRS and Police depts.  Just because they could?

I also wonder of the people that had assets seized, how many had resources to fight back?

A former employee of mine brother was a drug dealer, when he was busted, they seize his fathers truck out of the fathers driveway, even though the son did not live there,

because the the name on the title was the same as the son.

The truck was never seen again.

They happen before trial too, which seems a tad bit unconstitutional.

good.  now if they can stop double indemnity for drug arrests, we will be in good shape.

The IRS should try seizing assets where there is a call for.
For example all those CEOs from the failed banks and investment firms that walked away with millions while their companies lost pensions and people's money.
