He played "Mr Spock" - not Dr (Benjamin) Spock (the Pediatrician).
I also hope people remember that Mr Nimoy was much more than the Vulcan he portrayed on Star Trek - a few years ago he was interviewed and was disappointed that this character he played is how people would probably remember him.
His first career in his 20's was teaching acting - one thing he didn't like was all the "personal appearances" he had to make as Spock at Star Trek Conventions.
Now he can go where no man has gone before - safe journey, sir.en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leonard_Nimoy

Now he can go where no man has gone before - safe journey, sir.en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leonard_Nimoy He played a iconic fictional figure that I believe did influence for the good many people..I especially enjoyed how he was used in the latest / newist rendition of the iconic ship and adventure..As far aas not enjoying all the personal appearances..a quick net worth google on Net worth showed a net worth of $50 million so I am sure that helped with his feelings of doing those appearances.. RIP Spock...

I don't think RIP Spock is appropriate. Spock will "live" as long as there are fans to watch and read the many adventures in many forms that Spock can be found.
