Yes, I think I can relate to it a lot because I had a friend who grew up in essentially the same household. So everything is very funny and real to me. |

I have a Chinese-American friend who I think was initially offended by it (or the concept of it), but now isn't sure it's terrible and has said she can definitely relate as a child of immigrants. I haven't seen it yet.

One of my parents is an immigrant, so even if it isn't the same culture, I find any sort of jokey cultural stereotype hilarious. That sounded bad but it's true  |

DH's father was an immigrant (Greek) and DH pretty much loves any Greek stereotype there is  he could watch My Big Fat Greek Wedding once a week and laugh just as hard at it since he had a lot of those experiences as a kid too, lol. |
