When I was a young teen, my Mom had a recipe for what we called chicken spaghetti. It was made using the Kraft Italian Spaghetti mix (green box), chicken and a bell pepper. No tomatoes - the seasoning was mixed with something else to make the sauce.
I have searche and searched for this recipe and can't find anything close that doesn't have cheese in it (this recipe didn't).
Can anyone help?

Thanks Pig but I've searched Kraft's site several times and its just not there. I even found a site where I could order the old magazine inserts from Kraft that had recipes in them (I'm pretty sure that's where Mom got it from) but so far no luck and I can't really afford to order them all even though the lady was nice enough to send me a freebie on grilling with the two I did order.

What kind of sauce was it? My mom made something that might be it and if it is I'll see if I can find the recipe.

I do remember it has no tomatoes and used the herb packet from the Kraft box. Mom would saute the green peppers, add the herb packet and something else to make the sauce then add the chicken which she normally boils before using in anything like this. Me, I'd rather cook it with the peppers for more flavor. I really wish I had commandeered her old cookbook when she decided to toss it. She used to tuck recipes in it as she found them and this one didn't get pulled when she pulled the others.

Hi all, I figured it had a cream of mushroom sauce in it since it didn't have tomato so I looked up some stuff. This one sounds pretty good, maybe give it a try.
Ingredients 6 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves 1/4 cup butter 1 (.7 ounce) package dry Italian-style salad dressing mix 1/2 cup white wine 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed golden mushroom soup 4 ounces cream cheese with chives 1 pound angel hair pasta Directions 1.Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). 2.In a large saucepan, melt butter over low heat. Stir in the package of dressing mix. Blend in wine and golden mushroom soup. Mix in cream cheese, and stir until smooth. Heat through, but do not boil. Arrange chicken breasts in a single layer in a 9x13 inch baking dish. Pour sauce over. 3.Bake for 60 minutes in the preheated oven. Twenty minutes before the chicken is done, bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a rolling boil. Cook pasta until al dente, about 5 minutes. Drain. Serve chicken and sauce over pasta.

This is the BEST chicken spaghetti recipe!! I've made it several times and have varied it every time. Sometimes I'll add the pimentos, but usually I don't because my kids (7 and 6) don't care for them. I've changed the cheese and found that changes the flavor just a bit. You really can't go wrong by using a recipe from Pioneer Woman. Good luck!!
