This is another show I love! CL and I started talking about this show on another thread and I had already planned to start a thread about it so here it is and I will bring over some of my comments from the other thread instead of having them moved.
This show I watch a season behind so I don't know anything that is going on in the current season so no visible spoilers please. I only started watching it last summer when I ordered the 1st three seasons on DVD and watched them all at once. 
Yes I was very disappointed when the killed off Carter but not enough to stop watching.
I read that The actress that played Carter knew when she signed on to do the part that she would be killed off. It was a story line that was already planned from the beginning. She said in an interview that she wasn't allowed to tell her costars though so it was a complete surprise for them when it happened. She also said that she felt bad having to keep if from her costars but had made a promise to do so.
My favorite characters are Finch and of course Bear!
While I liked the Root story line when it started but only as a story line that would end. I wasn't thrilled when she became a regular. She annoys me a bit.
And as many others have said I didn't care for the whole Samaritan story line either.

Doing away with Carter really killed my devotion, I'll watch but Samaritin bores me to tears and I'm much less forgiving now.  |

It was an AWESOME show, but it started going downhill when they killed Carter. And this whole Samaritan story arc... I wish they'd just hurry up and kill off Samaritan and get back to helping "numbers".
Oh... and I want Shaw back. I can deal with Root... but I miss Shaw.

Um that is spoiler for me! I have not seen any episodes this season so as far as I knew Shaw was still there.
But I agree on getting rid of Samaritan and getting back to the numbers! Oops! (well... I didn't say WHY I miss her... ) |

I am re-watching seasons 1-3 now. I liked Elias as a bad guy. Get rid of Samaritan and bring back Elias and his gang!

As I said before I watch this show a season behind but I saw ads about Carter returning for an episode, I am guessing as a ghost or new flashbacks. Is this true? Someone that watches currently please let me know.

She was a ghost, I didn't actively watch but DH was watching and I figured out that much. Maybe hallucination would be a better term.

I watched it religiously then it seemed to go off the rails to me. But that's par for the course after a few years for me. I'll give it another shot though. Saw a trailer for it just today!  |

DH will be thrilled Shaw is coming back, I think he thought the whole thing with her last season was dumb/annoying. I rolled my eyes when she disappeared and asked if we're going to have to kipnap/hunt down everyone in the cast because they're out of ideas.  |

So POI wasn't listed on CBS's fall schedule so I googled. And CBS in their infinite wisdom decided to not order a full season, only 13 episodes. So it probably won't air until January.

I finished watching all of last season and yes I have to say I was underwhelmed. It really is time to move on from the Samaritan crap! I can see why the ratings have been dropping a little but still am pissed that CBS only ordered 13 episodes for this season. It was still the 19th most watch show last season.

So I have been reading that CBS is going to cancel this show after this shortened season. I just don't get it? It was the 19th most watched show last year. Who is running the asylum over there at CBS?
