I've heard that too. I am curious how they are going to handle the character for TV. I was sad for Rick but I wasn't shocked Jesse died. DH kept saying "but she was such a bad ass!" No she really wasn't, especially when it came to her kids. Carol wouldn't have put up with Sam whining and putting the group at risk. So what does everyone think Rick's reaction is going to be when Carol tells him about the Wolf? Or do you think she will even tell him?

My guess is there is going to be so much going on that Carole won't get around to telling Rick about The Wolf for a bit but it will eventually come out. I am anxious to see how Denise's character evolves. She hasn't had a lot of confidence in her medical capabilities in the past but she really stepped up with Carl. In a way, being held hostage by The Wolf may have actually helped her.

I am interested to see how all the Alexandrians evolve. DH and I were like 'It's about damn time! Get up off your behinds and defend your home!"
I liked when Rick went bat shit out the door with his machete. For a moment there I thought that they were just going to watch him die since he didn't exactly endear himself to any of them. Instead they seemed to accept what the group has been trying to tell them all season. This is the world we live in.
Even Eugene finally grew some balls!
I loved the scene where they flashed thru each character killing a zombie with whatever it was they were holding. That was beautifully executed.

I did not know it had started again until I saw this thread was active yesterday. It took all of my willpower not read this & spoil it for myself. Wow what a great episode. Daryl as bad ass as always with that rocket launcher. Rick going crazy & getting the town to step up. Gabriel & Eugene finally becoming men. I was surprised they killed off Jessie. I thought she would live & hate Rick & blame him for Sam dying. Was that Carol's voice Sam heard in his head right before he panicked? She was really nasty to him a few times saying terrible things. The only thing I was meh about was Carl getting shot.......again. Kid hasn't even made it through puberty & he's been shot twice.

Yeah that was Carol's voice.
She was trying to scare Sam when she told him those things but at the same time what she didn't make anything up. She was right in that is exactly what would happen to Sam outside Alexandria's walls.
Unfortunately Carol's words came back to haunt him. Unlike the other Alexandrians who are stepping up/accepting reality he couldn't. That made him a huge liability when the walls fell.

I knew he was going to be the weak link & put them all in danger. I even expected him to die. I just didn't expect the whole family to die.
Wasn't Carol initially mean to him because he saw her steal chocolate? And then later I think he may have seen her hide a gun she had stolen from the arsenal room. Or something along those lines & she was threatening him to keep quiet.

He saw her steal the guns. He followed her into the armory which is the same place they keep the chocolate.
Yes she threatened him to keep him quiet. Which was wrong but at the same time again I can't entirely blame her. She was looking out for herself and her people. We've seen how well the Alexandrians could take care of themselves before the last episode.

I just didn't like seeing her like that. I understand why she did it & I'm not sad to see him gone. His whole character was annoying & his brother was a ticking time bomb so I'm glad he is gone too. I was sort of sad that Jessie got killed off though.

I'm sad for Rick that she's gone but I am not surprised. Her kids were a huge Achilles heel. Either it was going to go down the way it did or DH thought maybe Porch Dick Jr was going to accidently shoot her while trying to hit Rick.
It's a miracle only the three of them ended up dead.
We were worried Sam would go with Gabriel and put Judith at risk. DH thought Gabriel was going to die protecting Judith after Sam did something stupid.

When Negan's gang blew up, I literally said to DH "What the shit just happened?" Bahahahha. We were like "What?!"
Did you see the car in the background after Daryl blew them up? I wonder if Daryl's going to get it in the end for that attack.
I'm glad those annoying kids are gone. Too bad Carl is still alive!

LOL well actually it's one guy that says whats going to happen next! and we are in for a great season!

I've been saying at work ever notice how horrible things get when Ricks gang gets involved?
Deanna - husband, and son killed! her town was doing just fine, and they go out on their little supply runs, never any real trouble. then the R-Gang shows up and they are no longer efficient to go out on supply runs, turns out there was some walker blockage / barricade. Jessie entire family has now been killed.
The Farm- they were doing alright and that ended with burning the entire farm down! and they were storing walkers in the barn! LOL
The Gov'nor - he was doing just fine with his community until Michonne kills his dead daughter and pokes out his eye. now his community goes to shit!
The Prison was a start up for the R-Gang - but Gov'nor was like oh hellz no! You took away my town so I'm taking away your's! Ha HA - LOL
that safe haven - Terminous? that ended with an explosion! but the people there were not happy so it's ok!
The Church - even though it was only this punk ass priest! there goes that!
The Hospital? ehh they lost there leader but remained in tact!

Fun sort of silly episode with a surprise ending. It was a little slow with Carl & Enid in the woods but made up for it in the end.

Am I the only one who hates that Rick wants to make friends/recruit everyone they meet? I mean, they've survived how many years in this ZA and he STILL thinks that they can 'make friends' Sorry, if I had survived that long, I'd shoot first and ask questions later. 'Making friends' in the ZA has NOT worked out well for them at all and the learning curve on this is too long for real life.

Daryl was the one that originally told Rick they should keep looking for people. We've now seen them both do a 180 after the attack on Alexandria. Eventually they are going to have to look for more people, you can't keep yourself isolated forever if you want to rebuild society. Plus the show would get awfully boring if new people weren't brought in once and awhile. I believe that "Jesus" is going to end up being the leader of a near by community that according to the graphic novels will eventually join Alexandria to help take on Negan. Oh wouldn't it be interesting if when Jesus takes them to his community those two idiots who stole Daryl's crossbow and bike are there!

I think Jesus is going to be a good-ish guy by ZA standards. No worse than Rick & Daryl.

The only way you can really judge time is by watching Judith. I think she looks around the same age or a tad younger than my DD (20 months). So if you think she's 1.5 years plus 9 months of pregnancy, and we'll say 3 months before Laurie got pregnant, the zombie apocalypse has only been going on for 2.5 years.
Rick and Michonne - eh. Rick's really broken up about his dead girlfriend. Plus, one of them is going to have to die because you just can't break up a main character romance like that. There are too many zombies to kill to be all awkward around each other. haha.
And I totally think Daryl is getting killed.

I thought the part where everyone came running up the stairs to catch Jesus and saw Rick running out without a shirt on with Michonne behind him was pretty funny. I told DH "Well she's going to die now and Rick will see her running around in a white dress everywhere he goes". DH is going back and forth between whether Daryl or Abraham is going to get killed. He said they seem to be building up Abraham which often means something really tragic is going to happen right after we get attached to him. BUT Daryl has been in the background for a lot of this season which makes him think they are gearing up to gut punch us by killing him. Or neither of them are going to get killed. You never know with this show! I kept yelling at the TV screen that Maggie really needed to go check and see if Plantation wannabe leader (I forgot the character's name) had zombie heads in fish tanks before she agreed to any deals.

Someone is going to die. I really hope it is Abe & not Daryl. I think there will be a lot of unhappy fans if they kill Daryl. I know I will be. But other than blowing up Negan's guys & the lake of fire Daryl hasn't had a lot of screen time lately.

I can't imagine them killing of Daryl. People would go ballistic! I am sure someone is about to bite the dust though. No way they can take out Negan's group without at least one major character dying I am glad they have found another decent group (hopefully) to combine with. If you don't add more people to help one another eventually everyone just dies off.

When Rick stabbed that guy in the throat and everyone was staring at him in shock and he just said "WHAT?!" in that exasperated voice... we were laughing so hard DD woke up. DH thinks they're going to kill Daryl, but I think Abraham stands a better chance. If they kill off Daryl at the end of this season they're going to lose a lot of viewers when October rolls around... I don't know anyone who is that into Abraham.

Yeah, Abraham won't be a huge lose although he does crack me up. They will probably let him and Sasha hook-up and then kill him off 2 episodes later.
