 I just read this on MSN. Honestly TNT if the show has one of the top ratings on cable why would you cancel it for something edgier? Your audience likes it. I hope your edgier bites you in the ass!

I just read this on MSN. Honestly TNT if the show has one of the top ratings on cable why would you cancel it for something edgier? Your audience likes it. I hope your edgier bites you in the ass!  !!! I am so sick of networks cancelling good shows because they only care about what the younger audience watches. We older folks watch TV too!  |

I rarely watched TV when I was in my 20's. I was too busy having a social life. Once I hit my 30's I started watching TV a lot more. I would think there are still more older people watching TV (especially regular network TV as opposed to streaming Netflix, etc.) than a younger crowd, but nonetheless TV shows get cancelled all the time due to the demographic who is watching. I don't get it... plus, older people have more money to spend. I have heard they like to target younger audiences because what little money they do have they tend to spend. Still seems silly to me... and it is extremely frustrating.

Exactly Movingforward. I watch a whole lot more TV now than I did in my 20s.
I just sent off a scathing email to TNT saying exactly this!
I called the new programming director a nitwit and told them if he cancels Major Crimes and The Last Ship too I am done with them! |

The remainder of Season 6 premieres on Tuesday Feb 16th. And if I am reading right there will be 2 back to back episodes.

Final season premiers on Monday June 6th. Yes they moved it to Monday.

I'm still mad that this show wasn't renewed & other shows were. This one was not too gritty or too realtionshippy between characters like some. It had two beautiful competent women as main characters. Grrr.
