Love this show too!
Is returning on 2/17 with the final 3 episodes of season 5.
Great news is TNT has renewed it for a 6th season and 18 episodes!

I am still very sad about the suicide of Lee Thompson Young who played Detective Frost. I miss him! RIP Lee

When we last left them Jane had jumped off the bridge after that guy committing suicide. Who here thinks Jane will die? Of course not! They would have to change the name of the show to Isles. LOL

I am really glad they decided to change paths with the whole Jane pregnancy relationship storyline. Sorry but I don't watch crime dramas for relationships and kids! I watch for the crime cases and the fun interactions between the main characters!

I really like Rizzoli & Isles.  I'm glad it has been renewed for another season.
It was very strange to see Frost in the episode after he committed suicide.  Obviously it had already been filmed but it was a little disconcerting knowing he was already gone.

I was neither here nor there on her pregnancy.  Didn't Moira start dating someone in the last few episodes before the break?

Yes they had already filmed everything but the season finale when he died so that is why the decided to just wait and address it in the next season's premiere so they could honor him properly.

Yes Maura started dating that college professor/aide with the teenage daughter. Which I am fine with.
I don't mind incidental relationships that aren't the main focus or between main characters.

So I missed last weeks episode and was going to watch it on demand but it isn't there!! I am so pissed!
I did watch last nights and there doesn't seem to be much carry over from last week so I guess I will be okay waiting until the DVD comes out.

BTW, I picked up a random book at the library last week and it turned out to be Rizzoli and Isles story.  I had no idea that TV show was based on a book

No Jane lost the baby. As I said in my 1st post I am glad they changed directions on that. I don't watch these crime dramas for relationships and kids!

I don't know who your cable provider is but none of season 5 is available on demand with my provider. I don't know who controls the on demand, the cable co or the network. I think it is the network so we can cuss at TNT.

Yes it is too bad they cancelled Perception. They are right now showing the rest of the new episodes that were filmed. I read that TNT wants to change their programming to relate to younger viewers and they didn't feel this one fit that bill. Whatever!!

Yes I knew it was based on a book. I believe it says it in the beginning credits.
I like Jane's Mom! I don't think there is one character on this show I don't like.

There is a whole series of books by Tess Gerrittsen.  I enjoy them, but they are not very similar to the series.  Kind of like "Bones". The main characters' names are the same and they have the same professions, but the personalities, descriptions, and overall feeling of the books are very different.

I like it. I do wish that if they aren't going to follow the books at all that they quit adding in elements from the books and then not have them go anywhere... Gabriel, the pregnancy, etc... Also I do jot like the idea of mom back with dad... He's an ass.

I believe they changed writers during that whole pregnancy, relationship storyline and they decided to go in a different direction with that. As I said previously I am glad they did, it would have changed the whole dynamic of the show and I don't watch for kids and relationships. LOL
But I have not heard anything about Mom and Dad getting back together, where did you hear that?

Janes mom left the police guy she was with and went back with Janes father. Been a bit. 

I am ok with her not being pregnant, just don't know why they did it all...

She really didn't go back to Jane's father she just helped him get through the whole cancer scare and then sent him back to FL.
She broke up with the Captain because she said she wanted to find herself.
That is how I remember it all. LOL

The previous writer was the one that started that storyline to be more true to the book but I think the producers didn't get great feedback about it so they hired a new writer to take them in a different direction. That is what I read about it.

I'm liking this season.  Rizzoli cleans up nicely.  I just loved her art gallery dress.  Of course Isles is always dressed nicely.
