Sofritas are why we can no longer eat at Chipotle, which is a HUGE bummer because until they added sofritas, my kids could eat EVERYTHING on the menu safely AND happily. We were (too) frequent customers until the sofritas came along. We even have gift cards with significant balances on them. Just say NO to soy!

Nice, but our nearest Chipotle is 40 miles away. A bit far to run on my 30 minute lunch break.

Cross contamination. If you have a really severe food allergy, it only takes a tiny amount to have a reaction. At a place like Chipotle, where the food is all passed down a line and the utensils touch other food, it's pretty likely that the spoon for the rice, beans, cheese, sour cream etc. have come into contact with (and have residue of) the sofritas. So even though you don't order sofritas, you're probably getting some sofritas residue from the utensils and hands that have touched them.

No, you'd be in the nut-free house.

To put it into perspective, I have to pass two of them to get to our second facility. People here are running back and forth all the time. Not me unfortunately. I'm usually stuck here.

Never been there though and Chipotle only once. (reference food budget thread!)

I love Panera. I got an apartment once based on how close the nearest Paneras were (1 in each direction 15 minutes away). When I decided to move (15 minutes is too far) and gt a place with 1 in each direction 2 miles away, they opened one about 1 block from my previous place...

I only like Panera for their soup in a bread bowl, but I never go there because I know I'll eat the soup and an entire breadbowl and consume 1000+ calories in a sitting. If I'm going to knowingly go in and consume 1000+ calories, I'm going someplace better than panera.
I usually bring my lunch, but my rotation is mostly Jimmy Johns, portillos (chopped salad), chipolte (burrito bowl), potbelly (farmhouse salad).
I'm 6'3" and weighed about 175 pounds until my mid 20's and slowly put on weight. I'm now back down to around 200 pounds and my entire strategy has been to avoid the extremes. I really don't like to eat any fast food or sweets because I find it too hard to not go overboard.

The only thing I ever had from Panera was the bagels when some of the out of towners bring them in to work. I'm pretty sure the Cinnamon one piled with cream cheese is not good for me.

the chipolte at 300 N. michigan ave was out of sofritas by about 1:30. poor planning, Chippers! I used to live at 405 N. Wabash in a former life. We were so close to meeting.
