See, I disagree.  For the show that has been on the air for this long, I think they are very consistent with their cast.  Compared to Grey's Anatomy, ER, etc.  Except for Gideon (who I loved )  everyone is still there from the original cast.

Change your viewing habits to something more fun and positive. Every time I see Criminal Minds, as well written as it is, I feel like I'm surrounded by insane mass murderers...and that's not a good thing.

Has anyone watched Quantico? I haven't but it is another FBI shows like CM right?

Quantico is very good.  It is only two episodes in so far.  I would recommend it.  It is about a new class of recruits & one of them is a terrorist.  It flashes forward to the terrorist event as it happens & then flashes back to the class as new recruits.

Everyone seem to be speculating it will be Shemar Moore.  That will hit a huge fan base if he does.

Not Sherman Moore...I love that guy and I'm not gay or black. He is just so integral to the series...especially his banter with the computer wiz Garcia.

IMO, his banter with Garcia is a little off lately.  I also think their chemistry isn't as strong.

He does have a girlfriend now, maybe they're trying to show he's respecting that?

Of course, she is hapless but brilliant and he is a mans man, so it will never be consummated. Actually, that would not make good television.

I actually never liked Derek's and Garcia banter bc it's is always the same.  It would have been cute here or there, but not every.single.episode.

But other than that, I really like his character.  He portrays the kind of guy that I would love to have for a best friend.

I watched the first 2 episodes of Quantico last night and I do like it! It is formatted a bit like How To Get Away With Murder's first season with the back and forth flashbacks.
Oh and I am sure glad the real FBI is better at vetting recruits than the one on this show. LOL

Honestly I never even gave it a thought. I mean Jeanne Tripplehorn's character was also a doctor and it never bothered me. They are all different kinds of doctor's though. Reid is a PHD not an MD and Alex was a PHD too but they both have PHD's in different fields. Tara Lewis is a Psychologist.

Okay to be fair her PHD was in Linguistics which is not one of Reid's PHD's. So not really horning in. LOL

They have ALL annoyed me since Prentiss, she was the least annoying by far. (Tripplehorn)  They just can't seem to write a character that slots in as well as she did.

I hated Jeanne Tripplehorn's character.  I feel about her how you feel about Bishop on NCIS.  Sucked the life out of every scene she was in.  I was never so happy to see a character go.

And I think that is common for an ensemble show when a beloved character leaves. It is a crap shoot whether they can write a new character and find a good actor/actress to fit it.

And that is exactly what I am saying. You are never going to please everyone with a new character replacement. And yes I still loathe Bishop.

The funny thing is I didn't watch from the beginning.  I came across a marathon where they weren't in any particular order & just didn't like her.

Then why haven't they replaced Bishop yet? LOL I know they have gotten a ton of hate mail about her, even from me (first time I have ever written a show about a character).
And I think Bishop is about the only replacement character I have ever had such strong dislike for.
I never had issues with replacements on ER or Law & Order:SVU and really don't on CM. Yes I really didn't like JLH but not to the point where I would write the show about her.
